zinuzoid
While enjoying an evening Paramotor flight, I got in a close encounter with Helicopter and eventually it's flying above me! As I'm turning away, the Helicopter keeps turn right into me. Fortunately, nothing had happen but the could also be a different story. Is there anything you think I could have done better? Bob27
The pilot was probably laughing and saying to his co-pilot, "Watch this, it's going to be really funny!" Anyway, I'm glad your okay. I think there is a good lesson here for everyone including helicopter pilots to learn.
AndyB
Helimed 68 lives just 2 miles from where I fly, so I often see it. I think yours was plenty high enough. Good that you saw it.
zinuzoid
I think we're 400 ft apart vertically. But I still think this could totally be avoided, consider a similar crash from Helicopter downwash it could've been a similar story.
AndyB
Ouch, at least he was low! That incident was about 60 seconds after the heli flew by and the pilot flew just below the height of the heli. The downdraft will likely have dissipated (it doesn't last long) but the rotor vortex (due to the heli's forward speed) will still be rolling out....just the same as it would if an aircraft flew by.
