LookingUp
Hi, anyone a guru with coils? I've a HE r120. The resistance in the coil between cap and ground is 7.87k ohms is this too high for this coil? I read that others like top 80 etc should be max 5k. My motor can be sputtery when running but main issue is hot starting, won't start until engine has cooled.

I was told the carb was hot and vaporizing fuel. I put in a nylon spacer between engine and carb, this helped a bit
LookingUp
Will keep that in mid. There is a decent thickness of alloy spacer between engine/carb. New coil on the way.
GR002
Alloy spreads heat
Nigel Safrican
Problem with old coils is that they start to breakdown when they warm up. I think a coil replacement would be your answer.
