I live in Beverley, work in North Lincs area and have a background in Air Traffic Control, motorcycling and Amateur Radio. I'm currently looking to start basic paragliding training prior to learning more about the paramotor scene. Would be interested in meeting some local aviators at some point to learn a little more and seek further advice. I understand there are a few sites in the area that you guys fly from? My elementary paragliding course is in the beginning of August, I'm looking to do the Club Pilot's course as soon as is feasible. Can nobody introduce me to this hobby around here? There is a Yorks crew up there, the boys are dropping in on them on the Tip to Tip - they are based over near Elland. I do recall that there are also guys working near to the East coast. Someone will pop up here before too long. Good luck with the paragliding course, it will make a great foundation for paramotoring if that is the way you intend going. Passed the BHPA Elementary Pilots' course, I'll be doing the Club Pilots' course at the start of September - so fingers crossed for decent weather. The BHPA Pilots' course will have to wait 'til next year..... but having fun all the same and getting there....... Anyway, i live in the Halifax area and Paraglide and Paramotor around this area and over the moors wondering over the boarder into that odd place (i think they call it Lancashire) If you're ever over here this side of Yorkshire give me a call and we can sort something out for a training day or a flying day.
