admin (Simon W)
Hi Paul, It sounds very much to me as though you should visit someone with a hang check rig who can help. It is not a good idea or indeed anything I have ever seen or heard of as an option, to offset the hang point's 'front to back' What Paramotor is it? Is it high or low hang point? Most manufacturers offset 'sideways' at point of manufacture. Honestly, you should seek some help from someone local who knows what they are doing to take a look Try the members map for a local contact. AndyB
Do some machines have a built-in off-set of the engine ie, longer engine mounts on one side? This then provides an off-set thrust line to counteract the torque steer.
admin (Simon W)
Not that I am aware of, although mounting the motor slightly offset like this is something I have seen the guys in the USA doing with trikes and quads (but not recently) SW
Casper
Yes, Alex Varv did something like that with RSultra/Kangook and low hook-in, apparently with very good results. http://www.aerocorsair.com/id121.htmhttp://www.footflyer.com/Equipment/Paramotors/2011/CorsairKangook/Paramotor-review-template.htm Good reading on the subject:http://www.footflyer.com/PPGBibleUpdates/Chapter23/understanding_paramotor_torque.htmhttp://www.scoutparamotor.com/paramotor-torque-effect-explained/ This also gives some extra understanding http://www.scoutparamotor.com/different-paramotor-hook-in-hangpoints-systems-compared-and-explained/
