Steve Morley
Hi, I am new here and I am a light aircraft pilot. Last weekend a Red Arrows display at Duxford was disrupted when a paramotor infringed the display area. When a light aircraft infringes such a display (and it happens!) the pilot almost always gets traced and the book thrown at him or her. The CAA can take away our licence and the fines can be crippling. Despite all of this infringements keep on happening. We have fantastic kit now to prevent this. SkyDemon gives you all the NOTAMs during a flight. Given that Controlled airspace applications are on the increase and display authorisations are increasingly harder to get, why are these infringements still happening? MagMen
For info, the original identification was incorrect and it is now known that contrary to the audio contained in the very public video going round the offending aircraft was actually a flexwing microlight.
