Bing 84 Carb.

Recommended Posts

I have a Fresh Breeze Simonini with a bing carburator that has a small leak after about an hour flight. It ends up dripping about two or threw drops on the floor after letting it sit over night. Then its done leaking untill my next flight, even if I do a few run ups between flights. Is this something I need to get checked out or is this normal for this kind of set up considering the attitudes and vibrations the carb endures during flight.  Does anyone else have this problem?

From experience I think it is probably a little fuel vapour getting into the bottom of the intake silencer.

This then finds it's way through the clamp on the intake side of the Bing. Look closely to see if that is where the fuel is coming from.

Cheers, Alan
