Hi Greg - would love to but am stuck in Chichester until later. Will try to swing by if I’m not too late. Have you checked in with Barry?

Hi Paul. No I haven't yet. Might do that now.

Greg

Btw this thread is getting very long is a Guildford group needed?

We could move it into the Surrey forum but there hasn't been much traffic in there in the past...

I normally fly late, typically take off 1930 or 2000

Oh no!! How soon can you fix it?

Changing the seal is relatively easy, but if both the old and the new seals leaked then there may be some other problems, I fear. I`ll give it a try with another seal first.

Looked pretty rough this evening when I was driving on the Hog`s Back at 7PM.

Weather dependant obviously. But forecast is for a clear day after a clear night so my guess is it could be a little bit bumpy and less enjoyable around midday, so probably first thing and mid-afternoon or both.

Looks gusty over quit a large area , might be wise for me to stay on the ground , have been caught out before ,was not fun at all.

I always play it safe. However... The Met office ballooning forecast reckons 6-10 at 14:00, that's within limits I would think (depending on what actually happens on the day)?

That sounds great . If you do go please let me know  ,I have never been there and would love to go , even if I do not get to fly at all.

Borderline wind wise and a bit gusty.  relative humidity also remains high all day so not sure if the mist is going to lift.

Good call on the mist!
