Since testing paragliders with engine is “forgotten” in the EN standards (EN 926-1 and EN 926-2), we had to find a way to satisfy the paramotor society and our customers. We started a co-operation in March 2008 with DMSV which is accepted by LBA (German government) for Musterprüfstelle (test laboratory). DMSV, Deutscher Motorschirmverband, is located not far from Nürnberg in Germany and they are testing paraglider with engine.

We have competence to test gliders in free-flight while DMSV have competence to test with engine; we decided to explore together how we best can test paramotor gliders. We are still in early phase and we hope we can start soon to define the tests which are suitable for paramotor gliders.

Air Turquoise team are happy to start working with DMSV.

Not at all! EN is the new dhv. Dhv has rebirthed in to Lsm or some such. These guys are trying to marry EN wing testing with DMSV motor testing to hatch a hybrid PPG certification of the two. Exit stage right DULV which has some wing characterisitcs testing in its scheme.

What these people have cottoned on to is a gap in the market; certifying wings especially PPG wings with their motors (as PPG sport grows) is potentially BIG business.

They have not come up with a new format and each wing/motor combination will need a separate certificate. Just a rival to DULV. (it could just be a "European" versus "German" squabble).

They are not proposing a "special" test for reflex wings either.
