wayner11
Local press front page has the story of Kristianna Draper who had a 200m near miss at 2200 feet with an Airbus A400M (turbo prop). She did everything right, Notams issued and she instinctively turned right when she saw the approaching aircraft. It was a near-death experience and reminds us of the real danger that exists "up there" but I loved her reaction. She landed then set up to fly again immediately and said " I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees". The incident happened in July and she went on to win a silver medal at the World Microlight Paramotor Championships in Basingstoke in August. A true inspiration.
