Tips for safe flying!

Recommended Posts

Is there a section on here for dos and dont's on flying?

Like just general tips for safe flying to help each other out?

There's a few large valleys with mountains on either side I would like to fly near me, But Im not sure what I need to look out for, Regarding winds etc, I usually fly around country side, Not near mountains, Thanks

The best advice I can give you is to talk to someone about the 'local conditions' they will know if there are any particular funky happenings.

Prior to that though I would recommend that you make yourself aware of Anabatic and Katabatic winds, as well as valley and mountain wind behaviors in general. This takes time to learn, it is best if you get the info from someone local who knows the situation, they will help you to enjoy it :-)
