Hi all, I'm new to the area and have 35ish PPG flights (maybe 10ish hours) under my belt from an APPI PPG school environment (Almost completed my advanced pilot training). I'm currently looking at getting my own kit; meeting fellow pilots in Kent; and after recommendations on flying sites. Kit wise, some items have been recommended to me but to get it all new is expensive. I don't yet feel like I have the experience/confidence to buy second hand kit but I'm open to it. Hope to hear from some local experienced flyers and beginners like myself. All the best, Ed
My name is Scott, Have a P2 cert for paragliding, novice. Just bought Cors air Black Devil 172 CC. Bought used paramania revolution reflex 28 wing. Never flown paramotor before. Questions: Should I install head temp meter? Do I need all in one meter for RPM and hrs or separate for each? Advice on economical and easy to use communication system for pilot and ground man and where to buy. It cost me and my son $4000 on paraglider lessons. Should I spend another $4000 for paramotor lessons or learn on own. Any helpful books/videos other than youtube. Any other info for or advice to beginner that is new to this sport. Thanks so much
Hello All ! I’m Looking for a little advice with the EOS100 engine. I’ve got one near brand new at 4 hours old. When starts it runs okay then cuts out after around 2 mins. When re starting, it runs fairly erratically and can seemingly idle down too low and then sounds like the starter engages a knocking sound then cuts out. Adding a little gas/throttle to prevent that seems to of course prevent the low idle cut out but then engine RPM seems to jump around quite a bit. Is this just the standard for a cold, new 2 stroke in very cold weather ? I’ve Not flown it as I’m still learning but I’m just ground running at the idle mark to test my purchase works (prop off of course and okayed by manufacturer fir warm up at pre flight) Thanks for the help !
Hi, i'm new to the sport but would really like to get stuck in. I'm trying to find a place where i could get paramotor training nearby to York and some advice on getting started. I haven't really done any "para" related sports other than a tandem paragliding session with active edge but i would really appreciate some pointer.
