  1. My motor has done 65 hours. They recommend you change the redrive bearings at 60 hours which is when mine went. I changed my prop off Paul Kilburn lately and mine works fine with that on full throttle. Mine was defitnaly the redrive bearings and belt tension. When mine was loosing power the drive belt and pulley were red hot that you couldn't touvh it. Do a search on yahoo groups for black devil ppg and the forum on there is really useful. It has Alex Varr, the guy who designed the motor.
  2. I have exactly the same problem, but mine was with the standard prop on the av8er black devil. I have rebuilt the engine and replaced every single bearing, seal and carb gasket etc. If you have had the belt too tight just once you would have cooked the bearings in the reduction pulley. I now run C4' instead of C3 bearings in the reduction pulley. Feel the belt tension and temperature of the belt when warmed up correctly and see how warm it is? Louis

As a motorcylist as well, i was unlucky not to have the near miss at 60mph and ended up with a broken back in 5 places, 4 broken ribs in several places, broken sternum, shattered nose, broken hand, broken foot and dead on the roadside twice. Flying is my second hobbie and it's more fun than the biking but thr flying days are limited. Paragliding is going to my second hobbie after the paramotoring me thinks. Hello and welcome
  4. I was there all saturday from 8am till 6pm and saw no one fly low over the farm at the bottom of the hill. Infact in the afternoon most people were free flying in the afternoon. Paul Haxby arranged the weekend, so he might be able to help you on that. Can't comment on the sunday as i wasn't there. But on the Saturday everybody was flying over 500ft apart from the landing area.

  6. Anybody know where i can get a drive belt for my black devil. Con air are wanting £26 Found this website and they are wanting £3.74 + vat But do you think that it is the correct one? It says that it will do 10,000 rpm and approx 5kw (about 7.5Hp i think) And it's the correct size etc (i hope). http://www.transdev.co.uk/pages/belts/p ... v_main.htm

  9. I have a broken back with 4 broken bones, think it was L2, T6,7,8 from a motorcycle accident in January. OOh and my T8 is shattered and pushing into my spinal column. I hope to be flying again, fingers crossed in septemeber. If the back is not healed i will have to try some of this "free" flying lark
  10. Well..............................I think I can beat that. Only had three flights and landed early on all three. First flight- Landed early because I shit myself too much Second flight- had to land early because of engine loosing power. Third flight- had to land early becuase of engine loosing power. All these on my maiden flights. Hopefully the engine is now fully working. Will try it out as soon as my bike gets better obviously check it on the ground first.
  11. Been paramotoring (or trying too) for over a year now. Met a few people from here down at pie and peas at Carlton bank over the last two fly ins. Wasn't flying at either due to a broken back from a motorcycle accident in January this year. Fly a Dudek synthesis 34 and a Cors-air black devil (when it works) Hoping to get some more flights in sep.......ish if backs better. Sorry people but it is me praying for rain and high winds since January as i can't fly but ordered the nice zero wind days for September Ps if anybody needs any aluminium/titanium/stainless welding done near Durham/Newcastle area give me a shout on 07782634816 all cheap rates for Paramotorists Louis
