  2. Top80 max pilot weight? I don't know, but I was able to fly on my Top80 while weighing 85kg myself, on a Luna 2 23m2 and sustain level flight at full speed (with speed bar). At 92kg, I'm sure you could take off and climb just fine on a beginner wing. The good thing of having a low powered motor to begin with, is that it forces you to develop good technique from the start, and not just power your arse up into the sky But this setup would only suite you if you were to focus on XC flying. It would be painful to spend several minutes climbing for a couple of minutes spiralling down doing acro.

  4. I've got a red Synthesis 2 29m2 (lovely wing!). I've flown about 60h in it and bought it with around 15h. It's slightly oversized for me, so I was wondering if you'd be willing to trade? Assuming both wings pass professional inspection.

  6. Haha I'm the exact opposite. I'm really comfortable with reverse and nail it first time whenever the wind speed is enough. I've got a line caught in the prop and about 50% success with forward launch, maybe less (though I only do these in practically nill winds). I have a friend who is just like you. He'd do forward while I'm doing reverse, so I guess it comes down to personal preference and what you feel most confident about. I found that my friend was weight-shifting when turning around after pulling up the wing on reverse. I told him to hold it on the left brake and he nailed it, so this might help someone else out there. Cheers!

Hi Skipper, I have one of these and I'm planning to sell it, as I now have 2 engines =P To prime it, I have a bulb pump, but I need to press a small "button" at the back of the carburettor (facing the netting) before pumping. Yours must be the same.     Sky 1.1s engine

    Hi lads, I'm considering buying this engine too, do you have any updates on your experiences? Any common failure I should be aware of before buying? I wouldn't buy a Moster because of the exhaust cracking problem, so I'm between the Nitro 200 and this one to replace my Polini Thor 80, which I think is a little underpowered for my weight. I prefer geared transmission, since it reduces torque a bit. Thank you for your replies and happy flying (weather permitting, not looking good for a while... haha) Cheers!

  11. Hi Colin, I'm looking for a buddy to go kiting with. Do you keep training during the winter? I've used the Ouzel Valley Park in Woughton on the Green and Bury Field in Newport Pagnell (this one just last weekend) even in busy days without any issues. I didn't take my motor though - I wonder if people would make a fuss otherwise. Let me know if you'd like to meet to practice together someday when the weather is nice Cheers! Jef
