  2. Hi all. I'm moving up to microlighting so to fund this I'm selling my entire collection of Paramotor equipment. just follow the link for pix & price http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/herenther ... 5kgThrust# Got questions just call. Jeff
  3. I wouldn't mind helping out with a bit of labour if it helped. This place can't be too far from me so it sounds doable. I would suggest asking what they would think is reasonable payment and take it from there. It's tricky to gauge how much a place might be used, so paying a lot upfront, perhaps a year in advance wouldn't be my first option. However I'd be happy to chip in and support the outcome. Jeff

  5. Hiya. I just noticed this post. We once had a field down Hearn Bay and when we used that we paid £3 each. Hope you can nuture that contact it sounds good. Those guys usually keep the grass short too. Jeff
  6. Those Fresh Breeze Flykes are pretty good. the bike is a recumbent model and comfortable to pedal around as it's got big wheels. I've had a go on one but not flown it. As this is a trike don't he need a permit of some kind to fly it here in the UK? Jeff
  7. Hi Si. How are you going about making your mould. What r u using to make it from? Jeff
  8. PROP BUSTIN .......... PROP BURNIN
  9. I'll go with the swine flu thanks. It's far less expensive Jeff
  10. Seems it's the season for prop busters. Well if this is the place for confessions, I'b betta put me paws up. I did my prop on Friday. On a forward. I thought my wing was flying but only half of it was. As I hit the gas too early and I got whipped round to the left and face planted. All this happened in a nano second. I thought I broke my nose at first (it’s been said this would be a cosmetic improvement) but joking aside I am so glad I had my helmet on, as the machine lifted me a bit and slammed right down on the back of my head! There is now a long and deep scar in the back of my helmet. I'm certain I'd be an A&E case if not for the helmet. Anyone got a Vittorazi 122 prop or a plank of wood with a hold in the middle collecting dust? Jeff
  11. I feel your pain dude! How much are those props? Jeff
  12. If only u knew how many times I've thought about chuckin this sport in and for so many reasons. I did too. I sold the lot ... then one day I stumbled onto one of the forums and read some stuff. Then wandered around many of the links I have. It was so wierd. After being out for a year and reading all that stuff again... it all came back. My first flight and the emotion, elation and shere joy of that day. I so felt like a junkie needing a fix! So within a few months of looking on that forum I’d bought it all back again! This time with secondhand gear only. Oh yea, one more thing...me gear 'aint for sale even if it is collecting dust just now Jeff
  13. Hi all. I dunno if this is of interest to anyone here. I'm selling a new front mounted Apco Reserve container. Scroll down the page & find product 80015 using the link below. http://www.apcoaviation.com/products.as ... =emergency http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0349866268 Jeff
  14. Hi Paul. Thats an interesting soultion. A Curley Wurley I'm not sure if it'll extended the range tho coiled up or otherwise. What about the 144Mhz? Is that right? I was hoping to get some feedback about that. Jeff
  15. Hi. Sometime back I bought an iCom T22A radio. (here's the spec).... http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/ht/3400.html I got the radio with a long antenna fitted to a magnetic foot. As good as this is it's not very practical so I'm thinking of buying a standard size antenna instead. Being a bit of a numpty when it come to comms I'm unsure of what I need, so I thought I'd run it pass you guys first. The fitting is a BNC - so far so good but for the rest, is the only consideration I need to make before buying is that of the frequency? It seems that a 144mhz antenna is needed to work with this radio. Am I right??? Are there any other criteria I need to consider before buying? For example, would this link do?? It is also telescopic. Is that added valve or just sales pitch? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NAGOYA-NA-773-BNC ... C294%3A200 Thanks Jeff
  16. Hi all. Sure I’m happy to update as the build comes together. I wasn't planning to start this until the winter but as my machine is unused and just collecting dust in a cupboard in my kitchen I might start earlier. Jeff
  17. To my surprise the Postman brought my connector kit today. Just 6 days after it was sent from the US. Joe, thanks for making the offer of your jig. I'd be delighted to have the use of that for a while. Also it would be great to get a close look at what it is I'm about to build. Also, I should say that I'm glad you decided to keep your machine. I've PM's you my contact details. thanks Jeff
  18. Hi Dean. You got some great pix. Where did you stay during your tirp? Jeff
  19. Just as an idea. You talk about the motors and the basic principals of flight and then run some PPG clips from Youtube and show how a take off and landing works. You can download in hi-res from youtube by pasting the youtube URL into keepvid.com Jeff
  20. Hi Joe. In answer to your question. Yes indeed I am the very same and thanks for your input too Jeff got straight back to me with a copy of the plans. In your opinion what should I budget for materials? A ball park figure will do. Also, would you have any tips on suppliers? I recon you’re the only one in Blighty that has a skybolt. D ya know if there are more? I stumbled across your shoestring blog sometime back. At that time you were working on the silencer if I remember rightly. It looks like you did yourself proud on the build as it looks great. My motivation behind this is a second-hand and well battered machine I bought last year. The engine is fine but the frame ain't a pretty sight. I've tided it up as far as I can but a new frame would be really nice and the challenge of building one is a red flag to a bull. The plans did look a bit bewildering the first time I saw them. But I’ve spent a good bit of time looking over them and have a good picture in my head around the total process. I have no doubt the builders forum will give me a good pillar to lean on if needs be. If you have any odds n sods left over you might want to sell on, just pm me and we'll sought something out. Thanks! Jeff
  21. Hi all. For some years now I've been looking at the skybolt paramotor and fancied giving it a go. A couple of weeks back while I was wandering thru my endless links of PPG site I happened to land on the Skybolt site. To my total horror Jeff (yep another one) was closing down. He was going to stop selling his plans and the connector kit. Holy crap ! Now I'll never get around to building my own. Well in all haste I buzzed Jeff a mail. He was nice enough to send me the plans for free, saying he still had some kits left in stock but there was a rush on to get them. I hurried over to the yahoo forum and for sure there was a bit of a skirmish of blokes just like me that had followed this for some time, thought it was a good idea but did nothing about it.... Until now.. Panic stations. Well I'm happy to report I've sent my $100 for the kit and I should get it in a few weeks. I suppose it make little difference when I get to build the thing, at least I'll have all the bits. So if you want to have a go then now's ya chance, but don't hang around! I'm wondering. Are there any Skybolters on here? Jeff
  22. .....at least a week?? ... you've never been to Maroc right ? ... things and people can dissapear in a flash...you'll need a pile o dosh to grease every ol coppa u meet just in case....ever seen Midnight Express ?
  23. Ah! those in know. I went for the Oxford Oximiser. I don't have a pull start on my motor either so a good battery is essential. cheers boys Jeff
