  1. I have been doing the conversion course with airways airports down at the bottom of Derbyshire, its about one and a half hours from Leeds. I choose to go the bhpa way as I already had the paragliding qualification so it seemed to make sense to just add the power rating onto that. Having been in one of the paragliding clubs i think they would potentially be a bit reluctant to let paramotors use their sites so finding places to fly is going to be the thing
  2. Hi guys how did things work out ? as I find myself in a pretty similar situation right now
  3. Did anyone find any information about doing this sport in the Yorkshire area ? Information in this area seems very thin on the ground
  4. well i have a conversion course booked , figured that would be fun anyway and then see how things work out after that. Are there many sites in the leeds-ish area that can be used for takeoffs n landings ?. Yorkshire seems quite biased towards free flight.
  5. Yes Yorkshire seems a bit quiet on the powered flying front . Looks like there used to be the Yorkshire owls but nothing posted there for a few years so I assume it no longer exists. Have you done the training or just thinking about it ?
  6. Hi I have been looking in to moving over from paragliding to paramotoring (after a few years i never got totally comfortable on windy British hillsides ) and am trying to find if there are any groups or clubs doing this in the yorkshire / derbyshire area as obviously I will probably need some advice on where in the area this can be done.
