  1. I'd be curious to know if anyone has got anywhere with Hayward Aviation Ltd?. My insurance with Onrisk ends on 15th May and I received a form from Hayward for a quotation which I sent back to them 2 weeks ago. I have had no reply back whatosever and when I phoned them 20 minutes ago I was told they had no market for it. As from Sunday I have no insurance - marvellous!. Is anybody insured with any other company?. Cheers, Andy
  2. Cant get down to the Top Gear track unfortunately but might well check out the Sporting Bears one tomorrow. Thanks for the info Aquatix!. Andy
  3. Hi Doc, I live in Rainhill (M62 junction 7). Can't do the whole journey but will certainly try to help you as part of a relay. Cheers, Andy
  4. Hooray!. The UK's leading the world at something. Do we win a team gold medal?
  5. I didnt think of checking of posts this morning so didnt know about Slapper going to Formby. Ha! - I wish I had now because I tried to go for a flight this morning in nil wind and ended up getting some lines caught in the prop (probably not running fast enough?). Shredded one line on the purple D riser and one on the green E. I know you can get replacements from Aerofix but I've never replaced a line before. Has anyone else done it and is it difficult?. cheers, Andy
  6. Anyone intending to fly this weekend?
  7. Hi Simon, Is the France trip fully booked up or are there any places still left?. Cheers, Andy
  8. Happy New Year everyone!. Nice post Alan, Hendrix's live version is one of my favourite songs. Andy
  9. The only other one I know of in the northwest is www.flyschool.co.uk.
  10. Hi All, had a quick flight from a soaking wet sponge-like field near Southport this morning but not much fun because my hands and feet got wet and extremely cold (7 hours flying time and counting). I'm thinking about getting a pair of heated gloves for winter flying but I dont want to spend £40 or so without knowing how good they are. Does anyone have any and if so what are they like to fly with?. Also does anyone know of any (dryer) flying sites? . cheers, Andy
  11. Hi Chaps, If you're going to the Southport Paramotor league thingy tomorrow, try to find out roughly what time the events are. If you get there mid-event you could be sitting around for a fair while without a lot happening. I got there at 10.30am and the next one eventually started at 1PM. Andy
  12. Congrats flyingdoc formerly known as snowman. Hopefully we'll meet up once I am qualified. Andy
  13. Hi Stew, I concur with Mr Snowman as I am also training up at Southport with Andy Walkden. Cheers, Andy
  14. Hi Mark, I'm supposed to be starting training at Southport at the weekend, unfortunately the weather forecast is starting to look a bit rubbish - heavy and thundery showers. Typical really. Andy
  15. Did any of you chaps get any flying done yesterday?. One day I'll get there as well Meds (OK I'm not quite in Cheshire but close enough). Forecast looks a bit grim for the next week though.
  16. Hi Mark, I've lost the details you pm'ed me. I didnt realise the messages disappear if you dont mark and save them before you exit (unless someone knows a way of finding them again). Cheers, Andy
  17. Hi Folks, I live in the north west, have been thinking of buying a paramotor myself and would like to get advice from people in my local area who are already flying one. I'd be quite keen to meet up with any of you guys if possible so If anyone is intending to fly and wouldnt mind me tagging along to have a general chat about motors, wings etc please let me know. Cheers, Andy
