  1. Are there any websites that have air maps you can view? I'm sure there must be, but I'm struggling to find them. I've left my map at my dad's house and want to check something out in the low level corridor between Manchester and Liverpool. Any tips would be appreciated!! Chris
  2. Personally, I would let this go. I have been out shooting numerous times at the back of my house and aircraft have flown over but it doesn't mean I want to have a pop at them. If you report this, the chap can simply say he was out shooting vermin. He was probably enjoying his hobby of shooting as you were enjoying yours of flying. And from 500ft I wouldn't think it was possible to say if a gun was pointing at you or not. However, if you are adamant it was pointing directly at you, then you will decide what is best. I am a farmer, gun holder and paramotorist, so I can understand all angles of this.
  3. It was me!!! I used the field at the back of the house. Not ideal but I was desperate to fly last night. I'm around all weekend if you want to meet up for a fly. Chris
  4. He charged me £20. I dropped it off in the morning and collected it in the afternoon! Just in time for me to fly to a mates house for a BBQ.
  5. Just a 'heads up' on a guy who has just done a prop repair for me. I've just had a small chip repaired on my carbon fibre prop. The repair is excellent and you cannot see where the chip actually was. The company is Prospray Ltd in Warrington. http://www.prospray.co.uk They are actually car body repair specialists but they are happy to carry out small prop repairs. ie chips, scratches and cracks. They do not want to get involved with more severe damage. Highly recommended. Chris
  6. Let me know if you are out around Winsford on Saturday. I'm in cotebrook all day and could do with getting in the air.
  7. All the rude ones sprung to my mind first!! But for the sake of the forum I shall keep it clean! Chest.
  8. Paint God I'm bored! Hate work, hate the weather!!
  9. Just been watching your videos of your trip last year round South America. Absolutely awesome and something I would love to do one day.

I walked to the top a few weeks ago. Set off from the car park and the weather was slightly overcast with a light breeze. Half way up the heavens opened and the wind must have been 30-40mph. I was glad I was on my feet and not in the air! If the conditions were right, I'm sure it would be a great flight and there is a small plateau to land on close to the top. But I would only do it in nil winds with a very good forecast. Not sure if it is possible to do without looking at an air map. It's close to RAF Valley!!!!
  11. Do we know what the problem is? It would be useful to know their concerns. I often fly down the low level route in between Liverpool and Manchester.
  12. Anyone up for a fly this weekend? Received my new prop and the wing is back from Aerofix so I'm desperate to get in the air! Chris
  13. Yes, got it yesterday. Thanks for that. It's brilliant, makes me laugh every time I look at it. Makes my tea taste better as well!
  14. Off to France for a week but hopefully up for it once I return providing my motor is fixed!
  15. I'm taking my motor to be repaired tomorrow so I will be out of action. Great weather today!
  16. I know the feeling Alan! As long as you're in one piece, the kit can be repaired. Chris
