  1. Simons neighbour? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180726587776? ... 3D1&_rdc=1
  2. Based on this comment "To confirm super hard compression near to the point it impossible to pull start with spark plug in and exhaust off (Same with exhaust on) " we can rule out any thing to do with the exhaust in any capacity. Based on this comment "When I remove spark plug its easy to pull start again" We can tell that there is no physical issue. i.e that the piston is too tight for the bore etc. (With the exception of the piston hitting the plug) So to check if the problem is with the ignition timing. You need to do one of the tests mentioned earlier. 1. Check that with the spark plug in but with the HT Lead disconnected does it turn over normally? If the answer to this is yes it turns over normally and you then connect the HT lead and the compression increases then the problem is the ignition timing. If this is the case I will explain what is happening. IMHO Without the HT lead connected and you turn it over you will be getting the compression of the piston and the fuel in the chamber but with no spark so all the fuel mixture is sent down the exhaust. With the HT lead connected (Assuming that the timing is too advanced ) As you begin the compression stroke you will draw in fuel and air wich will continue to compress as it approaches Top Dead Centre but the spark will be fired too early (i.e. Before it is at the top) and will effectivly be trying to push the piston back down the cylinder (hence the feeling of increased compression). The compression has not changed, just that it is firing too early. The timing only needs to be slightly out for it to make a big difference. I hope this helps and is clear enough to understand. Good, clear well thought out post
  3. Does any one know if the cylinder and piston on the Parajet and the Corsair black devil are interchangeable? They are both 172cc made by Malossi. Thanks.
  4. Hi Clive, What was giving the problems with the pistons? and how do you think the Moster will compare? Nick.
  5. Hi Tim, The Matrix is a nice wing to learn on, I did about 20 hrs on one. Good luck. Nick
  6. Doran seems to have some neat ideas on this. [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo] Nick.
  7. I would contact the manufacturer or the importer for advice before making a large adjustment to brake line length.
  8. Wiltshire may have its White Horse, but Devons got a Donkey!
  9. Yep I'm up for it......or if you prefer a coastal I have access to a large flat short grass field at the moment. Nick.
  10. Pete's right....Plenty of people take a while to land on their feet, you did it first time, while having other distractions. The fact that things did not go to plan, on your first flight alone but you didn't panic, just sorted things out, on your own, made the right decisions, on your own, got down safley, on your own, says plenty. Shit happens.....you dealt with it....on your own!!!
  11. I've just been going through the archives and came across this thread. What were the results of the GA props, did they solve the problems, and how do they compare to the fixed pitch? Are they expensive? What is the reccmended pitch for a 122cm 1:2.6 reduction. Thanks
  12. Bet you're buzzing Was it a forward launch? Will you have to change the smilie in your signature? Was the ankle O.K. on landing Is your surgeon going to be doing a tandam???
  13. Congratulations Pete, It's been a long road and must have been fustrating at times......No stopping you now!! Good luck. Nick.
  14. Sorry Pete, Bad joke Rickshaw ......Trike.
