  1. I was booked to do a fortnights training with Skyschool in Italy this year but had to pull out. I've found a really good instructor here in the UK (Alex Anderson) who lets me fit my training around the other commitments I currently have. The training here in the UK is excellent and though I had to take this course of action I actually have few regrets and am confident I will be airborne as soon as I'm ready. If you find the right trainer training here is very good and also you train in the conditions and terrain you'll eventually be flying solo in.
  2. I may well do that, depends how much holiday I have left by then - I'm trying to use a fair bit on training time before the wife has her op...
  3. Thanks Simon, I just checked out the PMC summer fly-in in July, not sure I'll be ready for that but I'll see how I progress and if there are any spaces left nearer the time may give it a look in...
  4. Thanks Simon, I'll be meeting up with Alex on Monday weather permitting and if all goes well will start training on Tuesday. I might start a training blog on here for other noobs too, let's see how it goes!
  5. Hi, I was booked in to train with Skyschool in Italy this June but have had to drop out due to my wife having an operation. I've been looking around and have found Foot Fight Paramotors who are actually quite close to where I live. I'm thinking that I may be able to train over the coming year in between looking after my wife while she is incapacitated and recuperating and wondered if anyone on here knows Foot Flight and could recommend them? They appear to have a good reputation so I put in a call to Alex who seemed a decent bloke but it doesn't hurt to get an opinion or two from people with first hand experience of the trainers... Thanks.
