  1. The wing should always be pulled in (if possible) when you have thrown your chute... The wing can re inflate and start flying again, In this case the wing and reserve work together to drive you into the ground... If your unsure about any techniques you should book in on an SIV ASAP...
  2. Yes we still fly around chichester.. Thorney is a no go area due to the microlight club and there Circuits.. Also Langstone harbour is a no Go!! Get your self an air map for all the no go areas.. ALL of inland water around chichester harbour are AONB so no low flying

  5. If possible i would steer clear of the OLD engines and some Old Paramotors.. As a new pilot you need to keep getting our feet of the ground not be stuck waiting 2-3 months poss longer for a cage quarter or a piston etc... Even some of the newer Paramotors Can be a nightmare to get parts for..

  7. Sounds about right with the broken wire... Normally the earth goes near the display where the wrist bends... Thats very strange the DRS's CHT wont register our PPG meters all come up to 95-100c in boiling water.. same with the WTS and EGT's

  9. Thermal snotty day... LOL Thermal= fun day!!! Thermal = Long XC Day... It's not Better to fly a Sailplane when its silky if it is to rough for PPG or PG i will Go Gliding instead..
  10. It is key to have a good wing that will launch easily in Nil wind.. the older style wings were heavy and could be a pain to get off the deck.. The more you fly the better you will become and happier to fly in rougher or stronger conditions. Commitment is key to getting hours in, Not leaving it 1-2-3 months between flights as this will leave you rusty and prone to failing launches and breaking kit, making you more cautious/nervous.
  11. It seems his Ozone Prices are still set at the mid 2016 prices and does not have all the new wings on his website.. So i would call and check his pricing first.. Most dealers will do a "deal" especially if your buying a package or a returning customer. Paramotor prices will vary hugely depending on the maker and also where there made! Always take good advice and speak with other pilots before purchasing something just because it is cheaper than X brand... Make sure Back up parts, props, Paramotor chassis, cage section are all available quickly or in stock, there is nothing worse than having to wait weeks for a cage section when the weather is perfect for flying...

We are on the south coast (chichester) but do not "train" pilots but we do offer sales/servicing/repair.. We also offer Guided XC flying for our customers and local pilots who wish to spread there wings a little further for free... Depending where in London your form Simon also offers training from his nice site in Membury as he said above, he may be closer..   13. Vince... that is why people should go to a dealer who has experience of flying these wings and whole Ozone range, and has demo models available to try... I have Average speeds and fuel burn for my all up weight on the Mag Max Speedster/Speedster 2 Viper 3 Viper 4 Slalom and Roadster2. Looking forward to flying the Freeride very soon...
  14. I would check your clutch... Is it slipping.. It will turn dark but only after a few hours...
  15. Remember just because you are learning with A school doesn't mean you have to buy there kit... if that is how they want to teach you walk away.... Also if you go with a BHPA school you will have much cheaper insurance that will cover you for flying as many wings as you want. you will be able to easily convert to PG Hill, as you will already have a BHPA rating.. The insurance is MUCH cheaper... I worked out if I wanted to get AXA or who ever it was It would cost me £100's as i have about 4-5 wings compared to my £90 BHPA. Also remember there are Very good Instructors and also some Very Bad out there... Go meat as many as you can, ask around and as Simon said find one you Gell with!! Good luck and when you do start...   16. One simple check is to put your CHT into boiling water and leave for a few minutes checking the temps. You said... Rotating the fan moves the cylinder head up and down...??? I hope not surely you mean the piston Seeing a temp spike of 880 either means your About to blow a hole or the mix or something is seriously going or gone wrong or the DRS if starting to fail it self.. But this would on an EGT not CHT!! Seeing that on the CHT tells me the DRS is failing... I would advise either buying a cheap CHT and compare the two or Buy a PPG meter or if you have a lazer temp gauge use that while running on the ground...   17. The Polini DRS is famous for giving incorrect readings and going wrong.. Broken wires one inch from the control box where they "join" to the main wiring loom. Why on earth they do that is a mystery!!!! also a join right where you wrist flex's... WHY??? Most of the DRS's we sell go wrong.. I always advise the PPG meter over the DRS as the failure rate is so low on the PPG meter and they give more info and have more channels..
  18. That was an interesting day/Flight.. I had just landed before it came through.. Thermal training task, Kirstianna was really shaken up! Just goes to show always keep your eyes peeled and never stop looking around...
  19. Personally i prefer the E props.. The weight of the E prop blades are much less and will spool up the power much faster than the Helix, I have seen some quotes that Helix give out more thrust but i doubt anyone could tell the difference on the ground or in the air as it was only 2-3kg thrust difference between the two, For me the feel the quicker power delivery, fuel economy is much better with the E props, Also the E props are FULL Carbon compared to the helix's Fibre make up.
  20. I have not put it on the scale my self and don't really like to quote Manufactures figures. Claimed 23-24 kg but feels amazingly light.. when i get the chance i will place it on my scales.

Please check out the wing's test report done in 2005!!!!! this Very old wing design is not to my knowledge rated for PPG it was tested with PG risers thus uncertified for PPG Feel free ignore if you want to buy that wing but please just do your home work before shelling out your money.. Happy flying!!
  23. If you fly out side the Cert weight range it will change the collapse characteristics of the wing so you will be flying an uncertified wing.. As a new pilot stay with in the weight range of X or Y wing
