  1. Coming from the paragliding (free flight) world, I've seen a few large asymmetric collapses on take-off because the wing was not loaded enough. Luckily I've never experience this myself because it looks really scary. I'm too new to paramotoring to know if that's a thing in this sport too but it seems like staying toward the middle to upper end of the range would be better. I personally try to get as close to the top of the range as possible without going over.
  2. I agree that you should start with some training. Find an instructor that will provide all gear needed for the training. This should cost about $2000 to $3000 to teach you what you will need to know anyway and you will get some real flights with instructor guidance. Once you've made it through that little adventure you can decide if it feels safe enough and if you've enjoyed it enough to spend the money on your own gear.
  3. The weight of the wing is negligible for wing loading calculations. I would guess that if a lighter wing has a higher rating it would be something else in the design. For example, unsheathed lines. As for Ozone, where do you see that the lighter wings are more difficult? On their website, it looks like Roadster 2 and Spyder, which are essentially the same wing except for the lighter fabric, are the same difficulty level. The same is true with the Speedster 2 and Sirocco 2.
  4. There's only GPS in the 3G/4G versions. For the wifi-only ipads, you may be able to get a bluetooth gps receiver to work.
  5. My Nitro 200 is being delivered next week . I debated between the Parajet Maverick and the Nitro 200. The Maverick has some features I really like - specifically, I like the press-on net as well as the way the swing arms are attached. It is much more robust that just the swingarm bolts on the Nitro. Also on the Nitro, I'm not crazy about the carbon fibre spars. I decided to go with the Nitro 200 anyway because it seems like it might be easier to get replacement parts since Aviator PPG keeps lots of parts in stock and also I like the estart which is not an option on the Maverick. There is a version of the Moster engine with estart but sadly, it is not offered as an option on the Maverick. If this was the case, it may have been the deciding factor for me.
