Hello UK and all of Europe. Long time pilot and brand new to PPG. Hoping for 7th flight tonight if the winds cooperate. I have been enjoying reading your posts and comments. Anyway, Cheers from the USA! I’m flying a SkyMax with a Moster 185 with an Apco Lift Ez 28M. Absolutely obsessed and loving this sport!!
It’s all about nil winds here in the Midwest US. I lay the A’s in the crotch of my pointer finger and thumb and once the wing comes up around 75% they just pull free from my hands. I’m still hesitating a little on giving throttle and I still look up to see that I have a good wing before I go full throttle. That look up does cause me to slow down but I still not fully aware of the Wing by just feeling the pull on the harness yet. My launches are very good but my landings are a work in progress. Blue Skies!
Fuel bag is working out great. Hardly any weight and very impact resistant. However, a knife would do it in quickly. I’ve had a few hard butt landings and it’s stout.
If your talking about the structure the soft fuel tank is surrounded by its amazingly strong. I have had 3 hard newbie landings and not a scratch or a bend. I have the new Star frame as well and it has zero flex! One very tough machine.
I’m in the US and I have a SkyMax, Star frame and Moster 185 Plus. It is simply amazing and is one of the strongest frames I have seen. Dry weight ready to fly was 52 pounds. I would buy another in a minute, no regrets.
