  1. http://www.nordschleswiger.dk/news.4460 ... rschwunden Very sad news for the family. Richard
  2. I'll attempt a fly in again depending upon conditions. Richard
  3. I hate low down thermals, they're always snotty. Wing behaved a bit non standard, but glad you landed OK Nick. I've encountered a few including a dusty on landing in Algo on the PG - not pleasant. Richard
  4. Apologies for not flying into Powick this evening. I got as far as Chaddesley Corbett and proceeded to throw up into my visor/left ear defender and my new Powerfin prop! Note to self (human performance section of the flying exams) if you feel cr*p on take off - dont fly. Man flu in my case, but felt better after that little event. Richard
  5. OK Jock, that's good news. My post flying onion bhajji and 1/2 a Cobra is safe. Note to all flying Powick: worth dropping in to the restaurant to spend a little cash now and again to keep them onside. Richard
  6. I'm on airband Alan (vxa700). Regularly tune in to 123000 to listen in when it's open. Richard
  7. Looking at flying in or driving in depending on conditions. What's the situation on access to Powick now the Indian restaurant has refused parking? Richard
  8. I guess I could fly in for a visit after 6pm? Richard
  9. A cracking couple of days flying. Worn out old bones stopped me launching for a third time yesterday. Had a couple of bolts shear on the frame on Wednesday, but easily rectified (17 years of action). Replaced other bolts whilst I was on the case. Looks a bit blowy next week though. 2015 is the worst first 3 months flying start to a year in 19, on these machines. Richard
  10. Jock, do you hold the world record for the highest number of different paramotors owned? Richard (flabbergasted).....
  11. Yes, I don't do that anymore. If it's bad underfoot, I'll go back home or visit the pub. I miss the flying in snowy conditions due to my risk aversion in my later years. Catch you soon. Richard
  12. This is a shame and perhaps a bit short sighted by the new owners. I used to drop in for a bahgee and a half a Cobra after flights in the summer . There's a few other access routes to the main field, so shouldn't be an issue. Richard
  13. Cracking Jock. I didn't get to launch as stuck in M40 north bound traffic just south of Oxford for 4 hours. Light gone by the time I got to site. Perhaps next time . Richard
  14. Looks quite thermic and gusty again. Hope it isn't, I'm in Oxford with the kit tomorrow. Wouldn't mind a nice stress free flight for a change. Richard
  15. Cracking Jock. It was a day of gusty conditions. RASP was pretty much spot on. Richard
  16. Well done Nick. Looking at that cloud street, I'd have been tempted to shut the motor off and grab a thermal! Looked like a 25k+ XC day. Rest of the week looks dismal. Richard
  17. Should be nicely thermic tomorrow. Probably the best day of the year so far. Can't join you on this occasion but take some video. Richard
  18. Will pop down for the craic, but probably not flying due to torn thigh muscle. Richard
  19. 40 minutes without gloves is proper macho territory. I went home Sunday afternoon after the 3rd flight when my Blazewear heated gillet double size battery expired...... Richard
  20. http://www.para-test.com/images/Test_Re ... er2-24.pdf Exceptional result for a 24m. Richard
  21. Well done Jock. Hopefully catch you airborne very soon. Richard
  22. Hope so Jock. I'll buy you a pint if I see you in the air (not this week though by look of the UK weather). Richard
  23. http://vimeo.com/115852659 Another arty Ozone film with a bit more info on the R2, but nothing new in there we didn't know already. Richard
  24. Another PR video: http://youtu.be/CX9F96AfN0E Richard
  25. Normalising my R2 full trimmers speeds to 5.7kg/m2 gives 50.5kph. Still need several more hours and gps track analysis to be certain of any speeds. Richard
