    Hello , Simon Weston pointed me towards you. i've been having trouble with my cors air black devil, it has electric start. it starts ok, seems to have enough power on warm up but seems to lose power in flight [ i'm not absolutely sure about that as it's new to me]  but certainly it cuts out when hot though, i suspected the coil . do you have much experience with these please? many thanks, Bill>

      Hi Bill, 

      I’ve had similar issues of  misfire/cutting out when hot. After investigation I found what looked like a dry joint on the underside of one of the stator windings. Attacked it with a large soldering iron and it solved the issue. Apparently it was a common fault so worth taking it apart for a look. 

      As for replacement coils the old Parajet Xt engine uses the same but I never found a cheap alternative.

      Bill, absolutely. I do not have a field at the moment, so I tend to head back to Membury when I have an opportunity. Or keep the kit in the car to exploit rare moments if indulgence by my family. So an opportunity to fly a little closer to home would be great. I am in Northwood (just South of Watford) and have a local park that technically would be flyablw below 1000' but it is far from ideal and we get lots of helicopter traffic fairy low down. Where do you fly from?

    I flew in a raider, it felt very safe, - stable and slow and not as manoeuvrable as a paraglider, trouble is you need a licence to fly one and the only school seems to be in Melton Mowbray - a long way to travel, where are you based?

    Hi, I'm fairly new to paramotoring having really only done ridge soaring and a few hours powered parachuting, I have just bought a cors air paramotor and want to use it with my gin bolero paraglider- anyone else around the High Wycombe area already flying and want to link up? I have a good potential flying site near here , regards, Bill
