Hello , Simon Weston pointed me towards you. i've been having trouble with my cors air black devil, it has electric start. it starts ok, seems to have enough power on warm up but seems to lose power in flight [ i'm not absolutely sure about that as it's new to me] but certainly it cuts out when hot though, i suspected the coil . do you have much experience with these please? many thanks, Bill>

Hi Bill,
I’ve had similar issues of misfire/cutting out when hot. After investigation I found what looked like a dry joint on the underside of one of the stator windings. Attacked it with a large soldering iron and it solved the issue. Apparently it was a common fault so worth taking it apart for a look.
As for replacement coils the old Parajet Xt engine uses the same but I never found a cheap alternative.
