Please check out my fix for this. Simply closed the mixture screw. And open 1 & half turns, run the engine for 5 min and check the plug. There are plenty of pictures online to show you if it’s running too lean and adjust the screw 1/4 turn at a time.

Thought I’d reply to this problem I had. we figured out what was wrong. And it was so simple, closed the mixture screw in and opened it up 1 and half turns. The power cure is perfect now. Happy flying

I have a Polini Thor 2oo Evo engine. With a Bing carburettor fitted. The engine has always had a little problem, engine runs fine from tick over all the way up to 4900 rpm and from 6100 and higher. However the engine runs rough between these two power settings. If I make the smallest throttle movement the revs will run rough and if I keep making small increases in power I get to a point where the power band kick in and it jumps up to 6000 rpm and runs sweet as a nut. unfortunately for me at 6100rpm The aircraft wants to climb and I can’t maintain a level flight and 4900 the aircraft will descend. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

i'm fitting a new cylinder and evo head modification instructions say The new cylinders for Thor 190 and Thor 200 are recognizable for thesign on the upper side of the cylinder and they to be fitted with one 0,5 mm gasket only. before assembling the base gasket spread silicone paste on the highlighted area. however it has arrived with one aluminium 0.5 mm gasket and 0.5 mm flexible gasket The instructions say only use one gasket why would that be two in the kit ? on the YouTube video I have seen somebody doing the same modification and he uses no silicon gasket here however it does use the flexible gasket and the aluminium gasket which I have . do I fodo I follow the instructions are for the video or do I follow the instructions in the manual please helpllow the instructions are for the video or do I follow the instructions in the manual please help
