  2. Right I am now in the position to start looking at getting myself sorted with regards equipment, below is a list of stuff I need in order of importance, I am a complete newbie so anything you have may be of interest to me, most of all it needs to be, safe, inexpensive and reliable. Wing: I weight 76 KG so am looking for a wing in my wieght range. motor: anything considered however I would prefer something like a PAP with a low hang point harness Helmet: size medium Flying suit: size medium. that should be enough to get me started. I am not looking to spend great deal of money to start of with until I get some flying hours under my belt. Thanks guys, Dave.
  3. I have been looking around the net at wings for sale, what in your opinion is the best type of wing for someone starting out, large, small ? reflex, non reflex? any comment would be apreciated Thanks, Dave.
  4. definately worth going to have a chat with some local flyers, I popped down to braintree wednesday and met some of the braintree paramotor club, they gave me tons of info and really explained everything to me about the sport, great bunch of chaps, big thanks to Simon for letting me strap on the motor and get a feel for what its like when its on your back, even ran the engine up, I have a much better understanding of whats involved and how to go about getting in the air. Big thanks to them.

maybe he should have done his research, this was done way back in the 50s or 60s by Joe kittinger
  7. thanks Simon, I read a review of the wing and it was very good, the test pilot said it was one of the easiest and safest wings he had flown, wich is encouraging, what about the motor? I have done a search and not found too much info on it, is it a name you recognise? thanks, Dave.
  8. Hi guys, I am in harlow and looking to get into paramotors too, I too have seen a paramotor in the local area, it was heading away from the direction of hunsdon airfield so I dont know if someone is flying from there, is there anywhere local to harlow where people reguarly fly from, somewhere I can go and take a look and maybe chat to a few people to get a feel for what its all about? thanks, Dave.
  9. Hello, I have decided I want to get into paramotors, I did around 2o hours training on microlights some years back but it proved too expensive at the time, I have always been into aviation so i though it was time I got aloft I have been looking at paramotors for sale on the net and spotted this, I want to swap my kit as follows: RAD Airheart 120cc power pack, this unit has been completly rebuilt with parts from main dealer and is running as new, Wing is a Firebird Matrix all up weight of 125kg the wing is in excellent condition with very little airtime on it. There is also a paig of Hagwan Boots as new size 9, plus the usual bags for the wings. I am looking for somthing with 2-3 or 4 wheels as I fancy a change of direction,Paramotor Trike or I may exchange for a microlight...just let me know what you have. motocross, scrambler, trike, anything Asking Price £2200 my questions are: is the above a good deal? would it be suitable for a learner? where else should I be looking for a secondhand paramotor? if I did a course on paramotoring would the school supply me with a paramotor for my training or would I have to hire one? Thanks guys, any info would be apreciated Cheers, Dave.
