  1. Always an easy way out lol. Some of us like to rough it
  2. Definitely! That's all it needs but it has great potential and of course keeps your motor out of sight which would be a concern in a normal tent
  3. One massive headache in the morning from the petrol fumes surely? Nice idea tho!
  4. I am currently training with Simon and travelling around the same distance you would be just the other side. The drive really doesn't feel that bad with the excitement for going! Good luck with the training it really is worth it I wish I had done it years ago.
  5. Lol, being summer the next trip will be a basher and hammock
  6. It's a really nice idea, I'm always a bit sceptical of the ratings tho. I do a chunk of wild camping in wales and this would bring my bag size down considerably! only one thing for it simon you get one and let us know if you get a comfortable nights sleep ;)
  7. Thanks! had not thought about this, thats a great idea and alot cheaper than a proper harness. I guess the correct harnesses are so much due to certification?
  8. To start I'm no expert, however am currently being trained so have made all the call and spoken to a lot of schools recently. what I found was a few that wanted to train in a week which seems like a good idea at the start but now that I have started the training I hate to think of trying to fit it all in a week! Also the prospect of getting to the end without confidence. i found two schools I was happy with for two reasons. Firstly quite a few would not accommodate me due to my weight (115kg) which now carrying out my training turns out not to be a big deal (as long as they have the right kit) which sadly a lot don't. Secondly the way that a lot of schools I spoke to put a time limit on the training. Again I'm no expert and only commenting from my current experience in the training stage I'm 6 days in and to think if I only had one day left I would be no where near finished! I think the point is everyone learns at different rates and to put a time scale on that is crazy. the two schools I found happy with from all the calls I made? Simon at paramotor training and Clive mason at CM paramotor. that's not to say that there are not others out there but from all my calls these two seemed the best option for me and I was happy to go with either one. My two cents I think it's best to call around and talk to the instructors and get a feel for how they work and see what you are getting and not just go with best price or fastest compleation. Andy
  9. I would be lying if i said I wasn't a bit nervous for next time based on this, however I now know how it all feels and am confident I will be on my feet next time.
  10. What you don't see in the video is that I suddenly dropped about 10 feet up and didn't react fast enough. But hey I learnt a lesson and know what to do next time
  11. Yeah I should have stuck the second landing really instead of on my face. I'm all good now just a bit sore I have done a lot worse on mountain bikes
  12. Thanks man. It doesn't look as bad as I felt in the morning lol. Can't wait to get back up and land properly!
  13. Hi, that would have been me! If you could that would be great. It would be good to see it and see what happened. Plus everyone can have a little giggle at me lol. andy
