  1. My all up weight will be 135kg Was talking to the local guys that fly and they said there is a huge difference between the 1.1 and xx. I have a guy willing to sell his 1.1 24m with around 5 hours on it for 2 grand. Everyone Ive talked to said go for the xx. Is there a huge difference in performance? I just want efficiency for xc. Not concerned about slalom.
  2. the small piece of metal that springs the carabiner closed (not the twisty spring to keep it closed) I would assume this would still be considered safe to fly as long as you make sure its closed before flying. Once its closed it stays that way. Is there a tutorial on how to repair it? I cant seem to get that piece of metal back in.https://goo.gl/photos/6dJsKXGd8pJuLGeE9
  3. dont forget mowing the lawn, edging, and leaf blowing.
  4. This is true but my question is if anybody has dealt with these guys? How was their experience with the paramotor?
  5. You cant post any more info on this? Your comment is already coming off as negative so why does it matter what you say? Would just like an honest answer.
  6. I like this guy's design from Russia. What do you think about construction? https://vk.com/photo248692758_413900681
  7. Any input on this brand of paramotor and in particular this model?
  8. Ive heard from multiple people that the hpr180 is very reliable. No engine is perfect. As far as parts availability I have no experience dealing with zgppg.
  9. Ok thanks for the replies guys. Maybe Im thinking too much about economy then anyway. Like I said Im just getting back into the sport but I was just curious that's all. Its probably more a marketing thing for dudek to say one wing has more economy.
  10. same as cross country? I am planning on evening flights with no thermals and would like some agility in glider with plenty of safety for now as Im rusty.
  11. to my logic a fast wing would mean poor fuel economy being that 2 strokes by nature that high rev burn exponentially more fuel(im guessing this could be tuned if you needed better top end) Would a wing profile that produces more lift be a slower wing? Or maybe it has something to do with stability and wind resistance but then how could the wing go fast if the stability is causing more drag?
  12. Thanks I hope so. As long as I can tame the fast takeoffs and landings! My last wing was a Jumbe and I was overloaded on that one as well and had no problems at sea level so I hope the same goes for the synthesis2. Ive been out of the flying scene for awhile so I might be rusty.
  13. can someone explain wings and how they produce better fuel economy? say for example synthesis 2 compared to universal 1.1
  14. Thanks for reply. Im going with a dudek synthesis 2 for now. It has nice speed but what I dont understand is people say it has poor economy? how can you have a semi fast glider with poor economy? Im going to be somewhat overloaded on the wing too. 125kg to its 115 max flying at sea level. I hope this is ok?
  15. hpr 180. I think its a cheaper Chinese corsair or black devil clone.
  16. How is this wing. I'm considering it as my 2nd wing coming from a 15 year old dhv 1,2 glider
  17. I'm considering this engine and would like any input on user experiences they've had with it.
  18. http://speedboat.ml/ They seem priced reasonably. Has anyone dealt with them before?
  19. moving to slightly smaller frame. Designer said it would fit a 130cm but to have safe clearance he recommended shorter props. I have an older simonini mini 2 with 130cm props and would like to use them. Im not even sure if the hole patterns will even work with newer motors but I was just curious if any of you had problems shortening your wooden props.
  20. Anybody have experience with this paramotor? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Moster-185-Paramotor-1-complete-power-plant-1250mm-49in-frame-size-NEW-/262815806271?hash=item3d310af33f:g:8BoAAOSwmmxW5N9w
  21. have any of you ever shortened a prop and if so is it hard to do right?
