  1. I just use standard 5ltr plastic cans, put in my parajet with the spout and never spill any Keep it simple
  2. Just came across this great video, worth a watch [vimeo] [/vimeo]
  3. Thanks for that Mark, will have to have a think about what way to go, I really like Brauniger Iq motor gps that was in the latest paramotor mag with the wireless sensors... but £650 Will give you a shout next week mate when I've decided Tom
  4. After the expense of a new cylinder kit I feel the need to look after it.. The polini gauge looks like a good choice for rpm and cht. Does anyone in the Uk stock them? or even better does anyone have a second hand one they want to shift? Cheers, Tom
  5. Mine was originally a Parmakit head but I believe they moved to Malossi and this is standard fit.
  6. New cylinder kit arrived today from Parajet as usual awesome service from them, They had to modify the Malossi kit for me to replace the Parmakit Hopefully I will put it back together properly now.... can't afford another one next week!
  7. I found the missing part of the ring, it was all in the exhaust.. Checked crankcase and it's clean as a whistle.. luckily! at least I don't need to replace the bearings too.
  8. http://www.pmtuning.co.uk/malossi-alumi ... air-cooled Not sure if this is the correct one Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app
  9. I keep asking myself the same thing... Thought I'd decoke the piston and check the rings, wish I hadn't bothered now! Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app
  10. This episode in my flying life starts last Saturday, when my very nice flight was interrupted by a very inconvenient crack in my cylinder head (not that I knew that at the time..) Ah well S**t happens. I was very kindly offered a replacement and duly excepted (thanks again Stu) Life is good again.. Well it doesn't end there.. Today I fitted the new head, with some new gaskets from Parajet and all seemed great! the engine ran like a dream. Anyway I will get to the point.. I went for a flight this evening as the forecast rain has been put back by a day, after 10 minutes BANG and I'm gliding, executed a reasonable forced landing in the middle of a sheep field, carried my kit to a barn and met the farmer who didn't seem all that fussed about my unexpected appearance on his land and he pointed me in the direction of the road where my wife rescued me and delivered me back to my field Any way after stripping my engine down.. I have discovered a blown piston ring and destroyed cylinder, it all seems due to me putting the piston in the wrong way so the rings were running over the exhaust port! school boy error.. The new head appears to be fine Live and learn, expensive mistakes just make you learn faster!
  11. this one? http://edewing.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/paramotor-mag-racing-tide.html
  12. Looks much the same but 30% smaller and lighter (as if that was ever an issue for most) 30% better battery will be an improvement, looks to have faster Wifi too. The only interesting thing could be the Superview.. and 12mp stills at 30fps (duh.. video?) http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-hero3-black-edition
  13. The macro breather is built into the fuel cap, check it for blockages. It sound's more like a tuning issue to me but it's hard to tell from the video, just re-tune the carb, maybe time for a carb rebuild/clean depending on how many hours it's done? Tom
  14. Had a great couple of flights on Saturday, managed to do my arm in though so out of action for Sunday! Here's a few shots and a short video Tom [vimeo]https://www.vimeo.com/75152694[/vimeo] https://vimeo.com/75152694
  15. Gin winter alpine are fantastic, I use Keis heated inner gloves underneath when it's really cold and the gloves are still very comfortable http://www.keisapparel.co.uk/
  16. Tonight I managed my first (and second) sat's on a paramotor! I have been doing it paragliding since May but only had enough confidence to do it on a paramotor tonight! I love it and Acro is definitely a lot of fun! [youtubevideo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVNl_aeIz9Q[/youtubevideo] Tom
  17. I got 3rd party through http://appippg.org/ and http://www.flugschulen.at/axa/ was a very easy process and reasonably cheap. Tom
  18. From memory I don't think there is any adjustment between the starter ring and the starter motor.
  19. Probably a good move taking it to Parajet then if it's not too far? Took me a lot longer than half an hour
  20. I've done all my training with Alex at skyschool and have always been extremely happy. Can highly recommend.
