  2. View Advert PAP Thor 250 with two Wings and two Trikes I am selling my entire setup because I don't have enough time to pursue it right now and it gives someone the ideal chance to buy all the main items for Trike flying rather than foot launch at an incredible price. Its the most perfect way to fly and it is very comfortable. Further more it makes perfect sense for someone with a limited ability to run and health conditions that restrict Foot launch. I am selling it with a Bak Rak and fully waterproof cover for transport. Everything fits into a small car and the car shown is a 998cc Fiat Picanto There are two trikes and both are built for the Thor 250. One is red/black powder coated and similar to the PAP Rolling Trike. The second one is a dream of a trike and was specially made for me in Spain. It is incredibly strong and both trikes when broken down fit in the back of the car. I am also including a brand new Eprop together with the original Eprop and a reserve chute fitted on the left hand side of the harness. There is also a training harness. The paramotor also has fitted Tacho, hours run and engine Temperature Gauge. There is also a Skyflar Strobe which is very useful. The Paramotor has only run for a total time of 5.5 hours and has only been flown for a 4 hours and 33 minutes so its almost run in. It should last a good many years for the buyer. I bought it brand new. Full documentation can be supplied. I don't want to break it up but sell it as a whole package. It has never been stored outside but in our conservatory when not being used so everything looks as new. The wings are an Ozone Roadster, Blue/grey/white, 26 metres and a Niviuk Kougar 2 Yellow/purple/white, 25 metres To buy everything above new would cost in excess of 11 thousand pounds or more now due to the exchange rate so there is a considerable saving to be had. 3. You have answered your own question. I agree with you entirely. Went down to PAP a couple of months ago so you will appreciate I know a little about Estpona and Bornos.
  4. PMC Full Members 6 7 posts Report post Posted 5 minutes ago Hi All, I currently fly in Spain for 4months each year in Andalusia, Spain. I am a member of "Club Deportivo de Paramotor Cordoba Vuela". Membership costs me €138.33 for membership from May to end of this year giving me €600,000 3rd party cover. I realise this is expensive compared with AXA costs but it covers me for flying specifically in Spain and worldwide for not only insurance but "Club membership". This is a requirement in Spain. It needs to be renewed in January. The rules are different to the UK. BHPA membership counts for nothing and "Fly Spain" gives you no rights abroad at all. BHPA membership is totally irreverent. I regularly fly with Spanish pilots and their opinion is that "Fly Spain" is an absolute joke and a waste of money. It is just a flying experience), no more than that. The notion of a 2 mile radius to fly from base is looked on as being ridiculous by Spanish flyers. I can fly anywhere in Spain without the worry of detention, confiscation of equipment and a very large fine simply for this membership. If one wants to learn to fly a Paramotor then the UK is a total waste of time. The requirement in Spain is that to learn to fly a Paramotor in Spain you must become a member of a recognised club. I learned to fly in Andalusia and can fly every day safely, normally from 0700 hrs until 10.00 hrs daily and from 17.00 hrs until sunset usually about 20.45hrs in the Summer daily and earlier and later/earlier with a strobe. The reason I give those times is because between 10.00hrs and 17.00 hrs there is so much thermal activity that it could be suicidal. The cost to was €500.00 and covered flying for about 8 intensive lessons. This is still ongoing and the flyers down there are brilliant and close friends. This doesn't happen in the UK because the weather is crap. Where could you fly a cross country covering 90kms over two and a half hours in the UK? You couldn't... I go down to Andalusia about 4 times a year for a month each time and can't wait until mid January when I go again. I would mention at this point that most of my life has been dictated by the addiction to fly(heard that before) and I started in my 20's flying Cessna's, moving to Hang-gliders, being a founder member of the "British Hang Gliding Association(Member 19) and from then to Microlights to date entering the world of Paramotors. This has now become my latest and enduring flying love affair which I hope will take me to the end but whilst I am able I will continue. If any forum member wants details of what is available then contact me and I will provide details of how to fly safely and legally in Spain.
  5. I don't know what all the fuss is about being over 50 or 55. I am 72 and have flown all my life in one form or another but with PPG so far restricted to Spain. Reason: You can fly every day usually. Just back in the UK for a couple of months then back to Spain for another session. Can anyone tell me where I can fly in the UK anywhere near to Stafford?
  6. Just remembered there are a group of 12 British flyers going to Bornos tomorrow, 3rd November for 10 days flying. Are you close to Bornos?
  7. Isn't that where "Fly Spain" operate from?
  8. I know the feeling all too well. I am 72 years young. Always flown in some form of airsport or aviation attached hobby since my 20's and still feel the adrenaline everytime my feet leave the ground. I AM WELL AND TRULY ADDICTED...
  9. I learned to fly in Spain at a school run by, now wait for it....A Spanish lawyer. A bit of a prat because he is constantly flying tandem over the centre of Cordoba. He has done this for years and there are so many complaints the city of Cordoba are trying to get it stopped. When I say flying over I am talking of about the direct centre of the city at as low as 300ft. He too is a bloody crook....
