  1. You'll always be made more than welcome, have a full house TT week usually, flying is a bit of a no, no anyway then, but any other time your in this neck of the woods be good to see you, All the best Mark.
  2. Hi Evereyone, Recently joined this site and thought I should introduce myself, I live and fly on the Isle of Man, fairly new to motoring with only about seven hours under my belt I also have my paraglider CP rating, got interested in the sport a couple of years ago after getting fed up with the sixty second thrill of free fall parachuting, I initially had a bad experience with training when I started getting into this sport and wish I had found a forum like this then, fortunate over hear to have an ex world champion as our club coach. I'd like to thank everyone on this forum so far who has given me help and advice and if anyone ever gets over here then look me up, some great flying and fantastic scenery to be had. I currently fly a PAP ROS 125 and have just recently purchased an ITV Dakota wing I also fly an Ozone MOJO. Thanks eveyone and good to meet you all, Mark.
  3. Thanks for the advice guys, I know that when I originally purchased the Silex the brake lines required shortening by 20cm's, I've only been flying with a MOJO really up to now which is obviously set up for low hang points being a paragliding wing, thanks anyway, advice is appreciated.
  4. Hi, Just a quick question about the ITV Dakota wing, does anyone know if the brake lines are already set to fly with a low hang point machine namely a PAP or do they require shortening before use as I know some wings do, cheers.
  5. I have a ROS125 and no problems so far, lovely motor to fly and handle and very well put together.
  6. Someone in our club has the Dakota and everyone else I've spoken to tend to agree with what your saying, easy wing to launch, fly and land and a big plus is that it has the new ce rating which instills a bit of confidence in it.
  7. Hi I bought one and am absolutely chuffed to bits with it, I don't just use it for paragliding / motoring but I do a lot of fell walking and mountaineering and use it there as well, it's small, lightweight, extremely easy to use and very user friendly, great for tracking where you've been using the track log system in conjunction with Google Earth and it really does work, I've not used the 911 function yet, hopefully will never have to but have used the help function once and everyone on my contact list was contacted, there is a yearly subscription but it doesn't cost the earth and it gives both me and my wife peace of mind, you can even send a test call everytime you switch it on to make sure it's working correctly.
  8. Wing is Blue and I live on the Isle of Man but travel regularly to the uk.
  9. Head is full of info on Wings I meant Dakota NOT Dudek Cheers anyway
  10. Thanks for the Info, I was also lead to believe by the Instructor I bought the glider from originally that these gliders, although older, were very good gliders, however I've decided to sell the glider and go for an ITV Dudek, thanks very much for the advice, all the best.
  11. Large Silex Paramotor Wing for sale, asolute bargain only £800 ovno only test flown once for ten minutes by our club coach, genuine reason for sale, includes manual, ruck sack ect.
  12. Can someone give me their opinion on the Silex wing, I currently have a Large Silex that I bought when I first entered the sport about two years ago but never used it, long story but basically I went to the wrong school to try to learn, I currently fly with an Ozone Mojo but want to use my Silex, however the Silex was originally intended for high hang point paramotors, I fly with a low hang point rig, I have been told that shortening the brake lines by approximately 20cms will be sufficient for me to use it with my low hang point motor, has anyone here ever done this and can they tell me of their opinion / experience with this wing, thanks everyone and happy flying.
