  1. hmm have you contacted u-turn and asked then direct ??? they make the wings there experts test the wings. and i dont know the make of wing you have? any on u-tube to watch? then send the pilot a pm message?
  2. LIVE AND LEARN OR LEARN AND LIVE
  3. yes pulled too hard with the brake. because the ozone viper 3 is very sensitive.not all wings are the same. different brand of wings react differently. hence the spiral lock..= g-force. but because iam use to the g-forces iam use to it.because i practice...... ive even done a spiral creating g -forces and snapped the seat harness board.changed to carbon fibre. a cravat can just happen doing any type of acro . its not lethal.. there is some control.and there are options. oh can anyone show me a sat with a paramotor using a ozone viper 3??? or iam i the only one ? or try doing a spiral then feel the ....force its called experience. and i need experience no matter how many air hours i have ;0|
  4. sorry, William i have just noticed your comment. without being rude .you having 50 skyjumps means nothing. the only common thing is =air. my mistake is i pulled too hard on the riser .the paramotor wing is a ozone viper 3. 3 riser it reacted too quick. my mistake. but due to my experience, i was shitting myself inside my mind. because of my experience.. mx.being a roofing contractor and dealing with fear. i know for a fact .pannicking will not help... i have well over one thousand air hours... and with that .flying is like life always learning. iam human i make mistakes. the collapse is called a cravat. and as the seconds go by i decided to untangle the cravat.for which i still had control.= partial. regained my composer . and headed to my LZ get home for afew beers. ;0) flying is like life always learning......... oh after i had a few beers i changed my pants they where white now brown...... hope this helps a ski jumper.
  5. a welcome update .never a update for the last time. knowledge should be ever lasting onwards in time.... = progress
  6. hi, andy thank you it was fun... the virgin pilots know me. and once they landed i can land near to them. a basket load of clients. (10) and i did mention if they minded me flying near to them? .and the pilots said no problem.i also try and be diplomatic concerning the name .... virgin. ;0) . iam in a region where there are more than a few balloon sites scattered. fun for all on a sunny evening near sunset.
  7. when flying around the virgin balloon there was a lot of rotor and prop wash. so I had to be careful.. other then that good flight. but still rusty with the air time..
  8. hmm no video.? no proof.? cant do any freestyle flying.? but can do the chit chat to make him look like. he knows what hes talking about? ;0) ( ian5708 )
  9. hmm, show us all your sats on u-tube?. then ill make a comment or two.. have u any u-tube videos at all showing sats? do show us to see. on u-tube is that your u-tube name ian5708? ill check to see. and you never mentioned my spiral? why not? oh just checked on u-tube = no videos ian5708. show us your sats over water ... ideally. 1/do you fly ppg? 2/have you ever done a sat with a three liner? = ozone viper 3? 4/ as for taking a wrap as mentioned..are you saying no matter what brand of wing.i have to take a wrap always? yes or no?.5/ have you ever done a sat over water with a ppg doing a sat? yes or no. 6/ show me a video of yourself doing a sat over water using a ppg? i know for a fact depending on the type of wing some wings you may need to take a wrap .... but it depends on the type of wing? iam i correct. or are you wrong? 7/has anyone done a sat with an ozone viper 3? please show me..? then ill make comment or two just like you have date 2/5/18 solely for ian 5708 to reply. no one else needs to. there's always two sides of a story. never just one.. " I've already been on a siv course over water" is the water always going to be there if i get into trouble? answer no!!. the water won't be there. and if i choose to practice over land. then it's up to me.no one else.i practice to be experienced i cannot go on a siv course every year.( ppg siv course) and doing a siv with a pg .its not the same it's far different.i fly a paramotor.. not a paraglider with no engine.. there needs to be more siv courses solely for just paramotors in the world. at a guess, there is two. spain and usa but I may be wrong..
  10. hi can anyone please check the layout of this site? why has it been rearranged? = changed. is it me or everyone else have noticed it too? it looks like chaos

Nothing has changed with the site since the last update well over 2 years ago chap :-)

  11. hmm, every one to there own. this year there are many good events.all are good. a new event set in a different location.but organized by the same well organized.and excellent marshalls and people etc. set near to a beach.and proper runway.and large takeoff area. excellent for all .= family. entertainment.music. trade stands. fun day and night. meet friends. children will enjoy.as well as the pilots. I can't fault anything .... out of 10 ill pick 8 out of ten. ill be there this year.already got flying ticket. and watch on u-tube paramotor parafest event over the years.. plenty of space.plenty of loos.plenty to enjoy ;0)
  12. hmm, others won't be flying the two wings mentioned and none are you. so try and get a demo on the two wings and decide yourself. in many ways a wing or paramotor are both like choosing to buy a car.with a car you don't just buy. you test drive then decide.but you should already know this. so demo the two wings then make up your own mind...... oh having a demo on a wing should never ever cost anything.and if it does.dont buy the wing.. like i always say. they want to sell the wing. then let people have there test drive. which costs nothing!!! savvey
  13. "YouTube walbro pop off pressure " all to do with the 37c carb? and this is what i say to my son quote "you either learn the easy way or the hard way? "and ive already said the easy way? no comments from me concerning this topic. what do i know? rebuilt mx engine raced and won. now flying paramotors same basic engine.but not race? i have years of experience.what have you ?
  14. i rebuilt my carb and still ran the same.. = crap. but when i renewed the carb 37c it ran fine.. no problems just check the small tube that connects to the carb and the other end to the engine block.near to reed valves casing or block . and the tube has to be the correct length .. and make sure no air escapes and even when you run with brand new carb.. check each flight the color of spark plug...
  15. hmm, on each flight do you check the color of the spark plug?. just to see how the engine is running? e.g. too hot? and spark plug number. as mentioned the reed valves should be checked too. this is my advice.. i have had problems with the running of my paramotor.. done what you have tried. and its abit like sherlock holmes quote" when you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.' 'It is an old maxim of mine that when you have excluded the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.' "' back to me. renew the carb = brand new 37c. and the old carb keep for parts...
  16. the light at the end of the tunnel .... is getting larger??? with knowledge. everything comes to those who wait. ;0)
  17. hi, i hope you dont mind me saying. my view.the ozone groundhog wing is a training wing.and there is afew about.ukppg have a training wing. i remember going to there site and having a go with the wing and i found it hard!! . i was too.= heavey handed.. with the wing i had.to be more gentle abit like being with a women...., but with the training wing, i found to be far more gentle.and at the same time quick in the relex of the student's reactions.i myself any training wing small and agile is good and i cannot fault anything thats good. so with that .... thumbs up from me ;0) a good start. hope my view will help. and it would help me too = kiting
  18. my advise.. lets not jump the gun. get trained and while your being trained with a suitable power plant? and suitable wing.. then and only then .can you decide on the power unit and wing that you wish to choose from. get trained. then choose engine and wing. after your training. if tony from derbyshire chooses an instructor the data. say e.g ukppg is already there from the instructors experience. and rob salt experience. flying bigger engines bigger wings for there sizes.
  19. hi, i know a paramotor pilot.. from ukppg contact Nigel as he knows from experience what he had to do to supply a bigger pilot then yourself. so ask ukppg Nigel davies qualified instructor. and yes I know rob salt the gentle giant and gang. Rob flies a EC-Extreme with the Simonini Mini2EVO engine, and the Air-Design Tandem RIDE Wing.
