PM sent Simon

After a year or so of planning and researching, I've just bought a Bio Diesel plant.
Don't be surprised if you see my car towing a trailer with a collection tank sneaking around your local chippy!
Seriously, If anyone has a few acres here and there suitable for growing oilseed rape, let me know. We can do a deal on fuel?
Donations of vegetable oil will be gratefully received once I've got it up and running

Bird strike?

These are brilliant!

Beers/whisky on you this time Simon

Certainly an interesting proposition.
Until I was made redundant last year, 90% of the business I was doing was leased. There are some good leasing companies out there, but there are some downright sharks too!
I'd be interested to see more details

I'm a bit pissed off right now. By removing myself from the list, It's just cost me £1.50 to opt out of a service I didn't ask for in the first place! I'm a tight bastard, so I will be working out a way of claiming back the £1.50 because it is an unfair charge.
I will also be claiming £40 per hour for the time it takes. I'll keep you posted

you could also argue that the comment of "Unfreindly" contributes nothing to the description of the transaction, which is the purpose of the FB system.
However, in this case my favourite would be suggesting to Ebay that they have failed to police their own rules by not upholding your instructions about a UK only sale. They refunded your FVF, but did they also refund the listing fee? I think not. They (Ebay) are in breach of contract.

Simon, If the title of the film is "The Great Misadventure" you can watch it on Youtube in segments. Just trype in Burke & Wills

That'll buff out

A superb piece of work Norman. Thank you!

Whenever you provide pictures/footage to the BBC their terms and conditions state that you agree to give them copyright of that material forever. They are then allowed to use it as their own and don't have to credit anyone.
I know of several pros who have seen their work published in other media and the credit has said BBC Archive.
Don't do it!

Simon (learner Driver) I thought you might appreciate a shot of your Friday flight.
I'm still going through the couple of hundred shots I took, I'll upload a batch to the album later

Excellent weekend. Thanks to Simon and erm..Simon. Fantastic venue, lots of long legged birds about
Was sorry to leave so early tonight but work beckons. Got my shot of the weekend just before I left. Might have a caption competition for this one.
More shots to follow in the next few days
Oh, and one for Simon

Stop talking Bollarx Malcs. With the numbers confirmed It will be a helluva weekend anyway. Early and late flights will be the norm I reckon. Gotta love that diurnal variation ;0)

OK, Plot
Newly qualified captain reports for his first assignment, he is obviously proud. Admiral runs him through some do's and dont's.
next we see him at the controls of his first ship, savouring the moment, lovingly brushing his fingers over the buttons etc. less than happy looking co-pilot is in the seat next to him.
Pilot checks the passengers in his monitor and undocks.
FX as ship breaks free from Orbit, (Suitably cheesy and obvious mock-up ship) passing through asteroid belt, stones hitting windscreen etc.
captain is obviously pleased as he announces docking procedure.
Cut to exterior as all the passengers disembark carrying shopping bags, pan out to reveal "Tescos Astro Courtesy Shuttle"

Just for a laugh I am going to enter a movie short competition.
Film length is about one minute. If at any point at next week's fly-in the wind makes flying impossible, I would love to get some shots of folks in flying suits for a sci-fi theme.
I also need three characters. Basically a newly qualified Captain (of a space ship) A co-pilot of considerable space time (As a first officer, never made it to the big time) and an Admiral character.
Extras will also be needed. Interested? See you next weekend

I do know a man who may be interested in buying barley direct. He makes premium beer, but his customers are more the beardy Austin Healey types who go around muttering alien phrases such as "Great Body"

I'll be there as long as the boss doesn't come up with any more bright ideas!
Bio Diesel

LOL, I agree about more flying fields needed.
Enough rapeseed oil to run a car for a year can be grown on just over 2 acres.
Each individual is allowed by law to make 2500 litres of diesel for their own use a year before they have to declare it or pay fuel duty etc.
The by products can be used as heating oil and organic fertiliser
My plan is to make my kit available for all those who want to make their own, but haven't got the kit and space to do it.
This is part of my long running drive to stop giving a significant amount of my hard earned to those crooks and conmen in Westminster.
