  7. I suggest you speak to tom at parajet he will do a good deal if you haggle and stamp your feet in a polite manner like i did....
  8. HI mike Yes i have bought two wings of him in the past 12 months, He also let me demo the one wing before i committed to buying it, very good to deal with and very helpful indeed, also he will have a deal as most other dealers don't like budging off the list price. All in all highly recommended!
  9. Hi all I was looking in to maybe purchasing the niviuk kougar 2, does anybody own one? if so i would like to hear there personal views and thoughts on it... and also what sort of flying speed would you expect to get out of it...I.E trims in and fully trimmed out etc..? Has anyone test flown one up against other wings side by side in the air..?? Look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences safe flying
  10. Hi Guys thanks for your help and thoughts, I quite the like the idea of a side mount container, throttle on the right hand side reserve on the lower left, the only disability with this set up is it limits you to only use your left hand to for deployment, A ambidextrous location would be best. just in case everything goes south and one hand is trapped least you still get a second chance, i think are do a hang test with the motor and try mounting it behind the head and on the side and try and get a feel for reaching around and grabbing the handle, but i have found that a hang test is quite different to flying, as when i strap my self in to the motor on a hang test i can easily reach the pull start handle which was located behind my left shoulder, but i soon discovered that once in flight i could not always grab it...
  11. How disappointing.... must be a difficult question.... Come on lets have some positive ideas ref best location to mount a reserve chute on a paramotor....??
  12. Hi all I have just purchased a reserve chute for my motor and wanted to get some feed back and thoughts on where would be the best location to mount the container..? i fly a pap 1400 so i have a few options on locations i.e behind the head mounted to the top part of the frame, on the side arms or on my lap? the behind the head gets it out the way but i don't think it would be to practical to grab the handle to throw it if you were in a hi G spin....... Any thoughts Guys...
  13. yes the 1250 frame would be too small as the rated thrust is only 54kg, But the 1400 frame with a 125cm prop is pushing out 64kg thrust, surly that would be enough to get me up and away, i fly a big wing with plenty of lift, i,m not planning on doing aerobatics just gentle evening flights, and a little cross country......
  14. Thanks for your feedback guys, also the elavation of where I fly is about 400ish ft above sea level, and my wing is a itv billy size 28, I think the pa would do the job but like you said Simon, the climb outs could get interesting, flying the thor 200 which is a bloody heavy old thing, but it is like stepping in to a express elavavtor to the sky! I was just looking for a light weight little pap for just a bit of steady flying in the evenings...the moster plus is another option of course......
  15. Hi fellow flyers Just found this forum and what a great one it is indeed! Well I'm new here so Hello From the darkest depths of herefordshire! Can any one advise me on a issue I have..... Will a pap pa 125 with a 125cm prop fly a pilot of 110kgs safely?? I normally fly a thor 200, I was thinking of buying a pa 125 as a secondary back up motor as there fairly reliable, Any heavier pilots flown such a thing??
