  1. OK Steve thanks, I will give it a go..
  2. Steve Thanks for that, appreciate your patience. What is the difference between: Motul 800 road racing and Motul 800 off road?
  3. Steve Sorry for delay Steve - been away. Castrol TTS 2%, soon changing to Castrol Power 1 racing as TTS no longer available.
  4. Well its flyable, but it has got marginally worse over time, I have to wipe spots off the prop after each flight and there seems to be a black 'flow' across the crankcase which I have to keep wiping. Wasn't sure if a gasket or gunge was the answer. coolhand and steve, I appreciate your assistance you have given me some leads and excellent info, thank you.
  5. Hi, I am new to para motoring, I have a Polini Thor 100, can anyone tell me if there is any formal UK support for this machine, and a contact for them? I do have a minor leak in the exhaust/head outlet, but before I dismantle to investigate can anyone tell me if there is a replaceable gasket in that area. Thank you.
  6. Thank you all for your comments, just that I prefer to continue what has served the engine well so far. Castrol Power 1 Racing it is. Thanks.
  7. I have purchased a Polini Thor 100, and Castrol TTS has always been used in this machine so naturally I wish to continue using that brand, but to purchase Castrol TTS does not seem so straightforward as I thought. Packaging is varied, therefore I am not confident of contents being the same, it may be that TTS has been superseded?? Is Castrol TTS still available? What do other Polini users use?? Thank you.
  8. Following on from Neilzy;s comment, a prop strike with a wooden prop is likely to do less damage to your crank than carbon fibre, my experience with microlights is a wooden prop will more readily shatter and absorb a significant amount of the kinetic energy on a hard strike. Also a carbon fibre is less susceptible to damage from rain whilst flying (more significant with microlights perhaps).
  9. Sorry for not posting earlier but had difficulties with connectivity with this site- now sorted. Excellent vid and very nice to meet you both. Am still training but trainer is also training overseas so not too convenient. Be good to make contact when I have completed training - meanwhile I continue to follow your exploits and I have decided to keep my micro licence valid also.
