  1. Solved the problem with advise from Veerly Santy from " Time2fly " in Belgium ( Pap importers ), a really helpful person. I simply put an extra cylinder gasket on the bottom of the cylinder to reduce the compression , now it starts and runs like a dream , no problem starting over the shoulder. amazing the difference 0.3 mm makes ! D.
  2. Found an importer in Belgium, so I can order some parts including some new bits for the starter which I've busted trying to start the thing, there just seems to be too much compression , it needs to be pulled really sharply to overcome the compression. I wonder do they make a flash starter for the Top 80, that should solve the problem. Ok off to play with my wing now , no flying today but finally some nice weather ! Thanks for the help . D.
  3. Just made up a bracket for over the shoulder, will let you know how it goes. I need some spare parts for the Pap , one of the swing arms is cracked at the swivel point , even though there is a tough plastic inside it , it still needs replacing. I'm living in Holland but work in Belgium and I cant seem to be able to find an importer in either country for spare parts etc. The UK. seems to be the best bet for ordering parts but if anyone knows of a dealer in either Holland or Belgium I would appreciate it. D.
  4. Yes , its a foot start, I have a bad hip and I find it difficult to use , I have also tried extending the pull start rope and connecting it to a modified speed bar to use with my foot but I'm a bit of a short ass so I cant push it forward enough to start. I might convert it to over the shoulder start just like the Mini Plane but I would much prefer an electric start , don't know if its possible !
  5. Hi , does anyone know if there is any way to fit an electric starter kit on a top 80, I'm having too many problems starting in flight.
