I am so sorry Jock......I just don't get it. How can one crack a fat over that.....I must confess, I lean towards the 4strokes....give me a Bailey....please!
  2. An interesting thread to read will be the pro's and con's between the "Hornet" and the "V5 S". Which one to choose? An early assumption is that the Hornet will be as reliable as the V5, which I think is at the top of the list for anybody....reliability. But I am a just a humble spectator at this stage. Yet still keen on hearing the "arguments" on both sides. Cheers.
  3. What a fantastic idea. You guys are going to have so much fun, it makes me doubly jealous. Congrats to Simon for all the behind the scenes work that must be done. Will look forward to the videos. Have Fun. Cheers.
  4. Not my video (wish it was) but I am still an armchair pilot for the time being. I was just impressed with the quality of the photography......could also be mistaken for a Dudek commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jwO8KnAPPo Cheers.
  5. Really? I apologise for my ignorance.....but not living in the UK I hope I can be forgiven. That is a shame, as to me it is one of the best ways to introduce newcomers to the sport. We learn something new every day. Cheers.
  6. Surely there must be some schools that do tandem trikes / quads. To me the easiest way to get a big bloke in the air. Don't give up......flying is the best drug you will ever get addicted to......trust me, I'm addicted. Cheers.
  7. Buggar! That's a shame guys, I was looking forward to some post comp videos and yarns. Cross fingers for mid January.
  8. Ouch!!!!! The only bit of rock sticking out on an otherwise pretty flat cliff-face.....and he hits it! Very lucky boy.....if I were him I would seriously consider getting a motor and a much larger wing.
  9. Nick.....you cannot be serious! I have seen a guy take off downwind with a speedster. Did you have a hangover? Cheers.
  10. Thoroughly enjoyed your "first attempt" at putting your video together........more please, and yes have to agree the music is also good. Cheers. Rob.
  11. Thanks Morgy, I would be more than happy to do business with you. Unfortunately here in Thailand, importing anything is a nightmare. Depending on the mood of the customs officer at the time, one can be charged anything from 50% up to 200% of the original value of the goods. Which makes me wonder how some dealers get around this issue here. Not what you know but who you know has a lot of weight here. BTW I have tracked down another dealer here in Thailand who does sell the Bailey in a Bailey chassis......so once I get cashed-up I'll be paying him a visit. Cheers. Rob.
  12. It's been 2 & 1/2 years since your last post. So how is your flying going now, and have you changed your gear...new wing, new motor? I really enjoy your writing style. I was hoping for more. BTW I used to know Tauranga (Mt Maunganui) quite well many years ago. I used to sail in there on Aussie ships with heaps of cargo....we worked hard and played hard. Cheers. Rob.
  13. Hey Pat, liked your video.....nice and clear, looked like a great day. I wanted to see more. Good honest post, learning all the time.....as we all are. Cheers. Rob.
  14. It still bewilders me how the pilots of those old bi-planes can see where they're going. Surely the field of view is obstructed a good +/- 30 degrees from dead ahead. Admittedly at level flight they could see better but during take-off and landing.....the two most critical aspects of flying????? I don't get it. But still looks like fun.
  15. Thanks Morgy, I've got around 400 hours PG experience so sounds like the Speedster for me as I do want to do XC as well as be pretty active. Cheers. Rob.
  16. Wow! Cool, calm and collected......but I bet his heart was doing backflips.
  17. That would be great. Many thanks Simon, (I would hit the like button for your reply about Morgy ) Cheers.
  18. This is obviously for you Simon.....with good intentions. Ok I am new to this forum, and I am happy to be a part of it. I notice that you already have a "like" button....but that goes directly to facebook. May I suggest a like button that is internal. Say I read a thread by Morgy that may be funny, insightful or educational. I would like to show my appreciation by a simple "like" which will show-up in the corner of his message. This will be seen by any member or visitor reading Morgy's thread. As it is now, when we hit the like button, it goes to our facebook page and is not only confusing to our non flying friends, but does not "reward" our fellow members on paramotorclub.org. Just a thought. Cheers. Rob.
  19. Thanks for the feedback "touch", I would love to have the cash to go and see Morgy and try everything, but that unfortunately, is only in my dreams. Cheers. Rob.
  20. Just tagging on the end of this thread. I am going to get the Bailey V5 and have read the comparisons between the Bailey chassis and the Zenith...great info, since I live in Thailand......the only dealer here I can find only sells the Bailey V5 in a PXP chassis. Does anyone have any comments regarding the PXP chassis with the Bailey V5? I understand to actually try it before I buy it is the best way.......but just wondering if any of you guys have any comments about PXP chassis. Cheers. Rob.
  21. 8 weeks between flights!.....that hurts just thinking about it. Thanks for posting Pat, lets hope you can get a few touch and go's in next time you can fly. Good to see you haven't let your enthusiasm wane. Cheers. Rob.
  22. Really keen on someone giving this a demo for some personal feedback (hint Morgy) and how it compares to the Speedster. Cheers. Rob.
  23. What a great part of the world you get to fly.....thanks for sharing. Love the sound of the V5. Cheers. Rob.
  24. I agree with Tom, don't have anything to do with dell. There are many good wings out there, here is one to consider, good for beginner and will still give an intermediate pilot a lot of fun. The Rama Flex by Air Design. Have Fun. Cheers. Rob.
  25. Thanks Simon, just read the other thread.....very informative. Sorry for posting without research....please feel free to scrub this topic. Cheers. Rob.
