  1. Thanks Paul ... Engine has arrived last week. Just open the box yesterday, turn out it is counter clockwise turn, so can't use top80 prop anyway ... Now I have to build a frame and cage for it ...
  2. 2300 Euro (from Para Shop in Indonesia). thats include shipping to me (I am in Indonesia) and all the custom cost. also with wood prop ..
  3. looks cool, but it has so many sharp edge, is it ok?
  4. bought one of this (on the way now, ETA next month). Will make the frame and cage from stainless steel. Anyone ever tried it? Any idea where can I buy carbon prop for this engine? Is it ok if I use the one for TOP80 on this? (the only prop I have this moment). I will make a review once I tried it ...
  5. Agree with Morgy .. I thing the fuel consumption curve (vs trimmer position) would be an inverted parabolic, so you should do a few test with your own engine and canopy combination to get the best trimmer position ... No need to fly hours, just set the desired trim position, adjust the throttle to make it at cruising speed (not climb or sink) and write down the speed vs RPM. repeat for few other trimmer position. Assuming the RPM is linier to fuel consumption (would be better if we already have data for RPM vs fuel burn rate), we can calculate and draw the fuel consumption curve and pick the best trimmer position to apply ...
  6. is "more fuel" means per hour or per km? if per hour than after convert to per km will be about the same because it has more speed ...
  7. lol ... you are right. We might pay more for the waterproofing screen ?
  8. experia Z will be great but its too expensive for my pocket. I use experia arc S (used to be my wife cell phones) and tape it to my trike.
  9. I use PPGPS on my experia android. It is pretty good as far ...
  10. just for sharing: 2 years ago I started to build my paratrike with very tight budget. So I choose an RC 2 stroke engine (DLE170, china made) which is cost me about $900. It is very much alike the bailey hornet. 2 cyl boxer, 170ccm, 17HP and weight only 4kg. Installed in my paratrike which I modified from my Kite Buggy, weight total of 32kg. Attached to used Bolero plus canopy which I bought for $400. It flies well with my 60kg weight (not overpowered) until now. no need for torque compensation since I use direct drive with 30"x12" prop tach at 6200 RPM. As for now I use brand new Apco Lift size M. http://youtu.be/zqJKFKsHDpw This is why I am so eager to wait for Morgy's review about the new hornet.
  11. lol ... I really appreciated your honesty Simon ...
  12. Morgy, is it just for UK? How about us in abroad ... hehehe ...
  13. finally ... 2 cyl, I've waiting so long for this type of engine. How many cc ? 15 kg for 30 HP is a good P/W ratio. and its a 2 cycle too ... lol ....
