  1. Great video!! Wonderful to see friends fly and have fun together!! I'm a bit far (@Rio) to join you guys, maybe next opportunity !!
  2. Hi Morgy, are you still ordering V4 18m? By V4 design specs, it has been changed since V3. And, according to Emilia, Size 18 is a medium size for pilots weighing 90Kg! I'm 75Kg, and so, it seems, size 16m would best fit for me, if following Ozone's recommendation for XC!! regards,
  3. Folks, now is official: - Good features. - I don't like the colors offered by Ozone, with gray in the leading edge. - Who knows how much I have to pay for asking changes in the color?? "... Replacing the successful Viper 3 the Viper 4 is a versatile wing intended for both classic and slalom competition flying. Like to the Viper 3, the Viper 4 is designed for advanced pilots only and thanks to its 3-line design, optimized unsheathed lines and new advanced profile, pushes efficiency and performance to higher levels. In thermal conditions its behavior is similar to a free flight paragliding wing with very progressive, intuitive handling and exceptional climb and glide performance. The Viper 4 is also very suitable for dynamic and pure slalom competition flying, the top speed is higher than the Viper 3 with higher levels of stability throughout the speed range. Featuring updated risers with a built in PK system, a 2D steering system as well as additional pulleys to install a special steering system specifically designed for competition slalom flying. The PK system directly connects the accelerator and trim systems which increases the top speed with more direct action, so the accelerator travel remains the same. In 2D steering system, brake line and tip steering line (TST) are connected to the main brake handles. This system allows for complete control of the trailing edge, pulling only the tip lines (TST), only the center of the trailing edge, or both together. The Slalom steering system is for serious competition flying. Developed and tested by Alex Mateos for many years now, it is the only system which guarantees maximum safety during pure slalom flying. Learning from successful Sirocco and Spyder, we decided to use light weight fabric on the bottom surface. Reducing the overall weight of the sail gives improved handling, greater feel in the air, lighter ground maneuvering and an incredibly easy inflation. Viper 4 sizes: 14* / 16 / 18 / 20 / 22 / 24 *for competition pilots only, special orders. Tech spec: tbc Certification: Load test / DGAC Available to order: May 2016 ..."
  4. Hi Folks, Heard about NEW wing by Ozone Viper4. I'm curious to know what type of improvements Ozone is bringing with this new wing See Hernan Pitocco's post in FB, he's now Ozone's test pilot (Left Sol paragliders) "https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1757091104521568&set=a.1416120595285289.1073741831.100006620857226&type=3&theater" Cheers, Silvio
  5. Folks, I'm a PG & PPG pilot here in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. I don't have for sure same PPG experience like you all here. I fly a Parajet Zenith, BaileyV5 and Speedster24. All up @120Kg. Most of the time I used to fly PPG in smooth wind conditions near the beaches, but sometimes go fly XC country side. As you might know, country side, here in Brazil means medium to strong thermal conditions most of the year, practically in all seasons. My impressions flying XC in thermal conditions and comparing my Speedster24 with a friend flying a GTX24, both trimmed: Speedster bumps and asks for more active fly in thermal conditions than GTX and is a bit slower than GTX. I would like to test other brands, but here dealers don't have wings for testing and rarely we see other brands than APCO, OZONE and Paramania. Thus, reading your opinions is must for me. Want to know your opinions: I've heard about Viper3 and Dudek WRC are superb for XC. Not sure if Viper3 has same (worse or better) behavior than Speedster or GTX when crossing turbulences, thermals. (I feel good with PG in turbulences or thermal, but not same confidence with PPG flying Speedster). - What your opinions for Viper3 and how about Dudek?? Hopefully someone that flew Speedster and than Viper3 / Dudek WRC can respond like he has live experience to say something about. regards, Silvio
  6. Folks, I'm returning here just to give my feedback after reached 10h on my Bailey. First thank you all of you for your recommendations. Now my engine is starting easily, cold or warm!! Best Regards, Silvio Duarte - Rio de Janeiro/Brazil Ozone Speedster 24 - Parajet Zenith - BaileyV5
  7. Simon, hope I could clarify a bit. I live in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro city. What I can say is that Paragliding and Paramotor are considered as "free-flight" by the National authority - ANAC. They don't care and/or assume any responsibility. Thus, overall view you can fly wherever you want since not prejudicing other people. Of course limited to the areas that not impact commercial air-traffic. Despite that, we have pilots associated to some National associations like ABVL, and/or ABP that claim the rights to rule the sport. In the States we have "local clubes" affiliated/subordinated to the two first that more or less try to follow those rules. For the most they request Pilots to present the "Pilots ID" (ABVL or ABP recognized) for allowing them to take off at their sites. Normally at private propriety hills/sites. But, in another hands there are LOTS of places/hills/beaches/farmers that nobody take care about it. You can go and fly with your friends without needing to present any "ID". Here in Rio, with you want to fly for example in Sao Conrado-Pedra Bonita site (very famous place), above Sao Conrado beach, only presenting a Pilot ID (not problem if you from Europe, USA,...). But, Rio country side, practically you can fly anywhere without any ID. Please, specify where are you planning to visit in Brazil and what you want to do. So I can give a better answer. Regards, Silvio
  8. Yeah. Most of us live in Rio de janeiro city; South zone and Barra da Tijuca. We use to fly in Saquarema, Buzios, Cabo Frio, Arraial do Cabo areas (1-2 hours far) and of course here in Rio. If you are able in Portuguese you can follow us in ParamotoRio on Face book. regards, Silvio
  9. Hey guys, Sharing with you my flight at Rio de Janeiro's northeast beaches. [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]Silvio Duarte - Brazil Parajet Zenith, Bailey V5, Ozone Speedster 24
  10. Thanks Tom, much appreciated sharing your experience and impressions on Speedster BTW, where do you live here in Brazil? Maybe one day we can get in touch and fly together... Silvio
  11. Thank you Morgy, Compared to Revo2 how is Speedster for easy of take off and landing? Cheers, Silvio
  12. Hello all, I am in the same situation. I am PG pilot with many years of experience now in transition to PPG. Lately I have used to fly (PG) a high end EN-C wing - very fast and dynamic with incredible glide. We used to fly in rough conditions, with thermals. For PPG I purchased in June a Parajet V5 with Revo2 wing. I got my engine 3 weeks ago, but my Revo2 is predict only for October; I know guys in Paramania are doing their best, but I am thinking to change my order and get a Speedster; maybe delivery time be shorter and match my trip plans in September (tickets already paid ). My question is same as Rob (I think), is Speedster still ok for me?? By my previous PG experience I don't have much concern on flying it self, but would like to know specifically about Speedster behave on take off and landing compared to Revo2 wing. Thoughts about Speedster flying behave is welcome though. I heard Speedster is even more easy to take and landing than Revo2... so would like to see more comments here. I am 75Kg, my engine is about 28Kg (empty). So, I think the size for me is 26 (Ozone informed in flight weight of 80-110Kg), correct?? thank you, Silvio - Rio de Janeiro - Brazil Parajet Zenith, Bailey V5, Wing???
  13. Folks, Today I went for testing my V5 Bailey on the ground putting in practice what I have learned reading the posts here. A part from a initial distraction some unsuccessfully attempts with switch in off position!! Next, I followed the guidances I got here: pumping gasoline, pulled the throttle twice to full position and keeping a bit in throttle when for starting, so my Bailey started in the second attempt. (although, from my expectation is still heavy to do it). After, I turned it off again and repeated starting it over and over 2 or 3 times. Successfully some times in the first, sometimes in the second attempt OK time to put the engine on my back and try to pull start the engine while in the harness. Yes, after some difficulty moving to reach the handle. Some moving to manage the pull cord to obtain a best not so heavy position.. less heavy as possible. It worked in the second attempt, but I still have to use both hands to do it; still too heavy for one hand - possibly I am still not doing it as should... not sure what is the best relative position/direction to pull the cords: more horizontal or vertical ?!? I watched some videos on youtube where the pilots were just using one hand and re-starting the engine easily and using only one hand!!! With a small effort, right in the first 20cm the engine started... I am dreaming with that!! I am wondering if I am still needing to refine my technics or adjust something in the engine, like idle throttle... Any pilot here using Bailey V5 with electronic start?? Comments please... 14. I've had problems starting my V5 from new. I'm miffed....I dreadhaving an engine stall. When I first got the thing I couldn't start it at all...There was a gremlin which fixed itself. I'm very disapointed however once it's running it's great and very economical. I think the carb needs to be finely tuned. Hi I am very new in Paramotor and in this Forum (sorry for my poor English). I got a brand new one V5 Zenith and faced exactly same troubles as Jaco for starting my engine. On the ground 3/4 attempts and on my back almost impossible... Same as Jaco is too heavy to pull out. Besides above, my engine is shutting off it self if in idle for a while. I need to keep pushing the throttle any time the rpm gets "weak". I have been following Jaco's report on this Forum (not yet reached the end of the history ) but would like to share it here. I will keep reading and hopeful will find a solution at the end..
