  1. I've never had an issue... Ok hardy a hardcore flyer but regular and all year.. There's not a motor out there that won't suffer some issue or other at some time but find me any manufacture that builds maintains and looks after it's customers anything like Bailey does and I'd listen... I've heard all the horror stories about other manufacturers, I won't be changing to ANY in a hurry.. Mine starts, runs well, looks good, is frugal and powerful enough and light enough for my needs.. I've trashed mine once and thanks to great supply was all sorted in just a few days.. And what I couldn't fix with parts was done FREE at the factory by Paul Bailey himself.. Not many around like him I'm sure...

  2. Sad when someone tries to slate a tried and trusted design with rumours that clearly have no truth.. There's many a happy Bailey owner who has many many more hours on than 200 let alone 20.. Try saying the same with many other brands. Not to mention the back up you get if and when something does go wrong, the truth speaks for itself.. Small minded rumours like those are usually a result of a very small minded, small penis!

  3. Yep, knocking on the door introduce yourself and what you do, explain its very Eco friendly, no damage to land.. No intention of annoying the neighbours cattle sheep or crops.. Your not going to use the site too often, just occasional.. (hence several sites) then give them your phone number and details and give them a call in a few days time, worked for us so far...

  4. I would recommend buying from Morgy.

His back up is as good as he says, he flies a lot & knows the kit.

When I can afford to upgrade, then I'll be paying him a visit!

Can't argue there... First class service! I've had cage parts and a prop next day.. Not to mention all kinds of other stuff, not to mention some of the best advice anywhere...

  5. My only objection was the threats made and the 'my back yard' of course we all want things kept safe.. It's in everyone's interest to keep things safe.

Can't imagine any of the people involved wanting or even risking harm to anyone, including themselves!! .... Easy to read shite in the papers and then cast aspersions and make irrational judgements, almost as bad as the crap written in the first place if not worse given the fact this is read by such a small community and rumours and the like spread like wildfire..

Maybe just get the facts right and then mention your objections in person when they next fly over your house too low and at night before burning out and crash landing in the sea ff's lol.... Jeeze!

  6. So......From all these replies its a big joke all this illegal flying is just high spirits and shenanigins....

But lets look at the bigger picture even if it is for a fleeting moment

Paramotoing is getting a bad name because of flying like this and licensing and insurance and identification ie wing registration will follow .....this type of flying needs stamping out now

Lots of other incidents and also law breaking went on at this gathering of the flying circus last weekend I wont go into detail unless provoked !

I always keep some ammunition untill req

But what get me is most of this flying was filmed with self incriminating videos and pictures scattered all over the internet.....the perpetrators are not even clever enough to hide their bad airmanship.......they boast about it......

I for one want to have unlicensed fun free of all the paperwork so please lets behave ( a bit )

Lets look at the small picture too, threats to people who come to your backyard... Your backyard is a national park mate!

As for poor airmanship it's also all over the Internet how someone (I won't mention unless provoked) managed to slam into a windsock that could just have easily been moved...

People make mistakes, people have fun... Feel free to explain how your helping keep things deregulated by reposting the pictures and exaggerating a story already exaggerated by the petty press?

  7. I've sorted the gloves, most seem to use the mac wets not tried them out yet but they fit nice and snug and you can feel everything so confident they are the right choice.. Cheap too!

Hope the coaching course went well.. Not getting anywhere near as much flying as id like at the minute, seems everyone I know can drop everything at the drop of a hat and disappear wherever the weather is, sadly I can't, commitments but have flown at least once or twice every month so not exactly missing out I suppose...

Errrrrr Snowdon weds or thurs ...

Can make Wednesday or Thursday but not the weekend mate... Seen the vid of the last one.... Awesome!

  9. Hi Pete,

Not tried the speedbar yet, intend to soon though, may make progress a little more interesting when a bit of wind maybe, to date like yourself it sounds there's been precious few decent days to fly let alone be choosy on conditions when it is.. Love reading your blog though, reflects so many of my own findings. I'm sure as soon as some of the lighter nights come in we'll gain even more hours and with varying conditions, these winter flights are good with the nice stable air, smooth as silk etc but the cold (and my ability to keep forgetting the gloves or worse keeping them where I can't get at them in flight) soon wears thin, some nice long summer evenings are looking more attractive as each day passes..

Keep this up mate, wish I'd thought of doing the same though I've been good and kept a decent flight log..

  10. Has anyone heard of the alternative national championships (the SHATS) that's taking place in or around the same time as the nationals at Hull Aero Club? From what I hear its more a fun based less serious kind of championship weekend. Sounds interesting for someone quite new like myself to be able to be involved maybe... Anyone any info?

    Mike....

  11. Hi Pete, doubt you'd remember me, we trained a few times together at Airways, I also fly the Bailey and the Indy.. Slow but nice and stable.. Good for gaining the hours but you mentioned the trimmers back there and from my experience not only does the wing travel better with them out but launches and lands better too.. Sure there would be some who disagree and would depend on how you fly perhaps but for me it is a better wing with them out full stop...
