  1. I fly a home-made mini trike weights 135 kg all up, with both GTX 24 and Revo 26, at the same RPM (5800) for level flight on my Moster 185 (prop 130). Both takeoffs and landings are super easy. The GTX is considerably faster and agile though. Further to previous post I wonder whether there is a better way to position the prop based on piston position?
  2. Does anyone have GTX manual? any chance to upload it and send a direct link?
  3. Not sure about the 26. The 24 for me has fairly similar fuel consumption as my Revo2 (26) app. 6 l/h with Vittorazi Moster 185. I use it with own built mini trike and take offs are a bit longer than the Rivo's yet it might required slight different technique. Keep in mind the GTX like most recent wing was designe to be small therefore I think you better think twice before you order the 26.
  4. Hi, Just got my brand new GTX 24 (Im 145kg all up). The wing is great fun however first thing I noticed is the trimmers are extremely dificult to close to full slow. Much more difficult than any other wing I ever flown. Did any of you notice such an issue or could it be something on my wing?
  5. Many thanks Alan for the pics and explanation. I think I got the point. I think I will try some slight different approach to save another 7m string. Instead, I will try to find the best point on the long tip string on which I could connect the upper brake cascade, so that when pulling the tip (as originally planned by Paramania) it will fold the tip a bit first then will pull the most significant brake cascade to get the necessary drag to turn. In my opinion, this should require app. 50-70cm of additional string to connect the cascade knot to the right location on the tip string, and will allow me to use the original small tip-steering handles without make such a modification like you did (although it looks nice and easy) Is that make any sense at all.
  6. Thank you guys, Alan, do you know whether this solution will fit to Revo2? do you know anyone who use it? Omer
  7. Hi there, I wonder if any of you experienced such issue with Revo2 (26) tip steering does not really work? I got my new Revo2 a few day ago and already have some 3-4 hours with it. Lovely wing in general but I noticed that with trimmer fully open (fast position) even if I pull the tip 40-50cm I still have just lazy diversion to the side, but not really a turn as I would expect. I have adjusted the tip steering string to be stright when at fast position. I'm flying a self built mini quad with MZ34 (313cc) engine - all up 145kg Any ideas?
  8. I'm just about to order a new Revo2 and I started to ask myself whether I will enjoy more the Fusion. I wonder if any of you have experience with both to comment what the pilot actually feels when flying these wings? What are the diferences in launch, maneuvering, reflex etc.? What about safty (I read the certification of both and it is fairly similar)?
  9. Spending the last three years on Apco Thrust and consider switching to a solid reflex wing such as Revo2, I have two questions? 1. Asuming on XC you meet some rough weather condition such as stronger gusts or thermal air, would you take the trimmers off to full reflex mode, where the wing is faster and stable, yet impossible to activly control the brakes, or would you go back to neutral/slow and get the wing out of reflex for much slower and dynamic flight? 2. for those of you flying on the new Revo2, how do you manage to close trimmers with both hands on each side? is it possible to close it by applying a series of 2-3 strong and fast small pulls? or is it impossible and required both hands for each side at any position? Thanks and have safe flights.
  10. It is all a matter of speed. If you are looking for relax, stable ans safe flights, which are mainly at low altitude go for the Apco Thrust 3, which both launch and fly smoothly. If however you are more into XC and joint fly with faster wings I would go for the Revo which gives you the fun of slow flight at close trimmers and the ability to fly high and far at fast trim. As for maintenance, Apco's wings during 2006-2008 had the heavier fabric which last forever (mine is Thrust (m) 2006 with 300 hours and recently checked for porosity and results where nearly as a new wing), however their latest wing are much lighter to acheive the easier launch, hence last much shorter time. I believe both the R2 and Thurast3 will eventually last fairly similar time for you.
