There are two of us in Rugby, I'm hoping to fly as soon as the weather and work allow. For the last few months that's not been very often unfortunately.
Clive is still teaching me, you're in good hands there.
Clive taught me, though I'm still new with only two flights so far, mainly due to the weather.
I'll still be flying with Clive and the guys from Marston, so I'll no doubt see you soon.
One thing I want to experiment with is leave it in Tv or M at about 1/500, ISO 100, and shoot RAW images, then play with Photoshop to try and recover the darker images.
I find putting the camera onto Av (aperture priority) and dial in f8 or f11 to get the whole frame sharp and in focus. Then set the ISO to 400 or 800, the higher the ISO the quicker the shutter speed. The better the DSLR, the higher ISO you can use without getting noticeable noise.
Hi guys. I'm in Rugby and had my first flight on Saturday on my Bulldog and a Synth. I fly with a mate who's also in Rugby and he uses a Fresh Breeze and also has a Synth.
Let me know when you're flying again and subject to work, we'll pop over and see you.
Cheers,
Chris.
I read this and as I need a mirror and also have a Bulldog, I bought one too. Cheers for the tip!
Binley Woods? I'm in Rugby, so very local. Hope to see you up there soon.
Have a look at www.marstonairfield.co.uk
Not strictly Warwickshire, but not that far away from you and they're a good bunch, very friendly and helpful.
I used a borrowed wing from a friend who's self taught and been flying for years. It's very old and not particularly crisp anymore, but it's flyable.
I'm just spending as much time as possible ground handling with it.
