  1. Hi all Its seems an age since I was last here, But! Da daaa!!!! ive finally had my first flight, well 3 actually to date. First landing was shall we say somewhat rough around the edges but no damage to myself or my equipment. Second and third flights trouble free. Fingers crossed long may it reign. Still getting to grips with things but im over the moon so to speak to finally get up in the big blue. I'm currently commuting from Beckenham to Isle of Sheppey and Reculver with some very very nice peeps, there very nice peeps but if the weather turns, I know I know its a bit of a silly statement but it has been known to turn which can be highly frustrating as well as costly. As such I was wondering if anybody knows of some nearer sites where me and a very experienced tandem pilot might be able to use and in turn if any pilots would like to join us please get in touch and we can touch base. Hope all is good with you all, enjoy your flying. Regards Vinnie
  2. Hi Morgy Thanks for the reply but have you any ideal of the kind of adapter/lead to use with the VX 150/170 radio or even better a combi that this radio would work with. Regards
  3. Hi all Happy new year and here's hoping for a good summer with good conditions for flying for us all this year. Could anybody let me know of a headsets for use with the Yaesu Vx 150 (update apparently whatever works with the yaesu vx 170 will work with the vx 150 ) It comes with a believe a 6.5mm ear phone connection and a 5.23mm microphone plug. If possible also what connection/adapter would it need for use with a twin plug ear phone/stereo jack thingy that come with headsets. Most grateful with any help you can give with the above. Regards
  4. HI All I am hoping that someone can inform me about a 2m radio headsets/comms for para-motoring. Still awaiting my first flight Ideally a good secondhand one to purchase would be good. im using a Comunica helmet so something compatible would be good. Many thanks in advance.

  6. Hi all Can i just say a big thank you for all the support and your kind words. Today i meet up with one of your members and he has kindly offered to help out and to join there thriving little section of this club and a gentleman if ever there was one. It is these actions by people like yourselves that really do bring a ray of hope and companionship to the new and wide eyed individuals who feel overwhelmed and dear i say vulnerable individual first exposed to this great sport. As regards to the huh em flying school/individual im still going through the process of claiming some of my fees back. i would love to name and shame but to be honest im not sure of the legal situations here but I will add that im aware of quite a few of your members in the Kent area that have had similar experiences to me and know of whom i speak. There are others no doubt who would disagree with me and would recommend this man. Due to the above i don't feel at liberty to name and shame and as frustrating as it is i will have to think of a way of protecting some other poor individual that will be lured into the spiders web. Kind regards Vinnie

  9. Lo peeps After suffering from March until now at the hands of The Houdini school of seek him here seek him there flying instructor any excuse not train you flying school, i have finally left after much frustration and scare mongering. :'( I live in Beckenham/Bromley and are willing to travel approx up to 120 miles return if someone could either take me under there wing or recommend someone whom i will pay for your time to learn me how to fly. I'm at the stage where i can reverse launch and keep the wing flying over head and turn and forwards running and controlling the wing. im so desperado and enthusiastic and i just need a bit of help getting up there among the birds literally i mean. Ive got all my own equipment from a ground handling wing/harness etc including my wing and para motor. So please guys and girls if you can or think of anyone that can please let me know and i would be eternally grateful. Kind regards Vinnie
  10. Many Many thanks guys once again for your comments. Lol i suppose that what i get for learning with a die in the wool Dudek dealer who also happens to hate Paramania wings.
  11. Hi all Many thanks for taking the time and effort to reply. I can only say that your comments give me confidence in the wing and that's a good thing. Here is the link to the video and comments that put the doubt in but lol but on reflection i dont think its a revo2 anyway Regards Vinnie
  12. Howdy folks Could do with some help here please peeps. I read loads on the forums regarding wing selection etc and then finally took the plunge and bought the Revo2 advertised on the classified on here and elsewhere. Love the new auction style classifieds by the way. Got back all excited with the wing (im buzzing)went online to gather any additional info and found some quite disturbing info as regards to the safety of Paramania wings and reflex wings in general. Im a complete novice learning my ground handling at the mo. Is there a problem that i should know more about? I would greatly appreciate your comments lol good or bad. regards Vinnie

  14. Hi All Im Desperado on a bit of advice here please. Before buying this i asked around abit and got told it would be ok but since ive bought some people have put a question mark on it so here goes. Ive just started training all be it about i day a week at the mo due to instructor being only able to make it because of his other jobetc. Ive been told it will be August before i will be able to fly a paramotor. I bought a Fresh Breeze SportiX with the Simonini engine 2 years old with 15 hours use.The question is is this unsuitable for a beginner to fly or even dangerous. I was going to pair it with a Dudek Synthesis wing 31. im about 92kg in me birthday suit and will have to pass a stringent ground handling course before being able to start my ppg. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance
  15. Hi all just wondering if anyone would recommend either of these two schools for a newbie training. Green Dragons Paragliding & Hang Gliding Centre (Caterham) or Airworks Paragliding (Sussex) If need be i could seek out the motor side elsewhere. i would greatly appreicate a speedy response to this if i could be so bold please. Kind regards
  16. Hi Could anyone please point me in the right direction as to where i could get a good paramotor training school. Ps im a complete beginner. I would be most grateful if you could. Im in the downe area of Kent. Many thanks
  17. Hi Morgy Once again many thanks for your thoughtful replies. Met up with the instructor for the taster course but dam it was to windy to even get the wings out but ive let him know how much i would prefer the Dudek Synthesis and he has said whenever we do get the chance to train he will bear that in mind. I have chosen to train under him and therefore i will trust his judgement. But again may thanks for your comments as by them i have come to the conclusion of the above preference of the wing i would like. Regards

  21. Hi All Hello I'm Gary and i would like to introduce myself to you all and if possible pick your brains as well. I aware its a bit like horses for courses but given my info below any pointers you might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated. Weight and height 95kg and 5'10 The purchase i make will probably have to last a good number of year so maybe something i can grow with. Ive been recommend the Dudek Nemo motor 2 and a Moster 185 motor. Can anybody throw some light n these and there suitability or an alternative please. Many thanks in advance. Gary
