  1. I see your based in Norfolk, do you travel every day to the training ground? how long does it take to get there and which route do you take? Great news on the motor, are you going to use that in training now? makes sense i suppose Thanks Kevin.
  2. Its not a training centre just a club and the guys have offered to give advice. Having been and talked with a few of them i am happy to go this route to gain experience. Thanks Kev.
  3. Thanks for the replies, i am 5' 8" 85kg and at the moment have a budget of £1500. Having looked round with regards to lessons it looks likely i will go local and they dont have training rigs, although they do have a wing for ground handling but thats it. Thanks Kevin
  4. Having looked and spent hours searching, i come back to that good old Fleabay site when looking at secondhand motors. Some have come round repeatedly and some fly(no pun intended). Would this be the way to go? On a budget it looks like the most likely for me as i want to get started and be in the sky. Any suggestions for where to look would be greatly appreciated, currently i am looking at Walkerjet and recently a bailey snap 130, any thoughts? Thanks Kevin.
  5. Hi all, i am looking into different wings to get me started. I have 1 that i am looking at but all i have been told by the seller is makes a good beginner wing. Can anyone offer anymore info on it? like weight range etc, Many thanks in advance. I have to say i am getting more keen on getting trained up. Next on list!!!! Kevin.
  6. Thanks for the welcome, i am based in Bourne Lincs. I have found on the Net a trianing site at alcolnbury cambs and 1 out nottingham way, flying fish i think it was. Both a fair drive so will be looking closer. A question, i have a small holding with an unused field running along side a woods, field is 100m by 60m approx with the woods running down the 100m side. Would that be suitable for takeoff and landings? I read about turbulance from obstacles like trees and was wondering if this would be ok. Be nice to walk out my back door and go for a fly...... Thanks Kevin.
  7. Sounds excellent, its a shame its a bit far for me to travel. I am looking at a couple of training schools closer but still a bit of a treck away. If anyone can recomend somewhere in the south lincs area that would be great, thanks. Look forward to the next installment Kev.
  8. Hi All, i joined the forum a few days ago and have been visiting most days. I have found the site very informative and interesting. It has been an interest of mine for some time, the whole flying thing, and have decided to take the plunge as it were to have a go at paramotoring. Any advice or info on what, where, how and with who you can offer would be much appreciated Thanks Kevin.
