  1. Thanks Steve really grateful been flying out of my paragliding club in woldingham , they had no objections but trying to find other take offs to avoid upsetting locals by using it too often. Kieran
  2. Hi wondering if anyone flys in the Banstead or Epsom area, looking for any advice or info re possible takeoff sites. I fly a baily.v5 and a up kantega xc wing. Would be great to meet up with any other paramotorists in the area. Kieran
  3. 1.7 to 2 m/s on baily v5 and up kantega. Pilot weight 110k so all up weight with wing tandem reserve and kit around 150k
  4. Hi everyone just wanted to introduce myself as Iam fairly new to the world of paramotoring. I am a free flyer Bhpa pilot rated hill tow and now power. Flying Baily V5 with a Up kantega xc. Live in surrey so interested in meeting any other flyers in the area. Added this vid thought some of you might find it interesting. [vimeo] [/vimeo]Great forum by the way. Kieran
  5. Thanks alan and simon hope to meet you both sometime in the future. No douth I'll get hooked and next I'll be bothering you again for advice re equipment. wishing you good weather and safe flying. Kieran
  6. Hi Thankyou both for the advice. I intend to continue free flying as well as paramotoring. I like the idea of learning and flying localally, I live in surrey and It appears that there is a PMC instructor in the reigate area. I also like the idea of the BHPA regarding insurance. Its my intention to speak to an instructor from both and weigh up the best option for me. Many thanks again for answering my query. Kieran
  7. Hi I am a paraglider, pilot rated hill & tow with BHPA. Iam looking at taking up paramotoring to extend my flying especially on light wind days. Can anyone advice me on training, there seem to be 2 routes bhpa or pmc I have no preferance but would be grateful if the pros and cons of each could be explained. Also what is required for conversion and what is the position when flying abroad. These questions may seem obvious but I do not know any paramotorers to ask. Many thanks in advance for any advice offered. K
