  1. I pinched this link from an unanswered post. It may help: http://www.thedbsnorkel.com/
  2. Thanks for amending it .... this is what I meant to put. http://paramotor.bravehost.com/Site/Welcome.html
  3. Hi Guys I found this website and thought it useful (or it would be more useful if it was populated more). Some of you may already know of it so excuse me if i'm going over old ground. It's of launch sites around the UK (and world). We can add our own with the appropriate information. Looks like I have to knock on some farmers doors around Saltburn and the North Yorks moors.... wish me luck! http://paramotor.bravehost.com/Site/Using_the_Database.html
  4. A Rad MXL got me in the air pretty easily at 82kg with T shirt and jeans. A 5mph wind with a long run got me up no bother at all. I have just bought a Rad Arrow 2 weeks ago and that takes me straight up with minimal run. The MXL, Arrow and Javelin all have the same raket 120 engine with different size props. You are on the heavy side for the MXL and Arrow but they would fly you with a decent run and flat ground (definatly the Arrow). The jav has (i think) a 130cm prop the same as my Aerodeck and that will defo get you in the air. I fly the Arrow cos i'm a wus and like 18kg on my back as opposed to 28ish... hope this helps...
  5. Hi Mark Not sure if you got my PM. Looks good but I can't open your gallary to see more. If you could send some more pics to craigthompson46@hotmail.co.uk, I would appreciate it. Craig
  6. Anybody got a good condition Rad MXL for sale....?[/
  7. This is radne's website: http://www.radne.se/Store/Product/Produ ... rtNo=32158 This link should take you right to the page with the bendix on. Postage can take up to 10 days. Hope this helps. Craig
  8. Does anyone know where I can get a 12v 7.5AH lightweight battery from? I'm looking for sub 1kg gel type... unless you knoe different! Thanks
  9. See my previous post for photos. Please correct me if I’m wrong but searching on line for a new starter for my raket 120 also threw up the exact same starter for a parajet for £112 free postage. Search under google 'paramotor starter motor' and look in images. Anyway, Radne in Sweden finally got in touch with with me and are going to send me a new bendix free of charge. Radne will sell it for 35 Euros (part number 32158). Radne Raket were very good and explained that they were not sure who had been checking their emails and holidays had played a part. Stefan Radne responded to me himself and a big thanks to him. Shame it took four emails but I accept their explanations.
  10. What a pain in the arse... my starter motor packed up on my radne 120 home build. I ordered a new one from Sweeden and it worked fine for about five days then the bendix cracked and it jammed in the housing. I have now emailed radne and waiting on a reply. If I can work out how to post a picture I will let you lot see the problem. On the up side I got my trekking parawing back from the Loft with a clean bill of health. Only a riser and new magnets needed replacing - overall condition was recorded as good - not bad for £129 including collection and return from a courier. It looks like Radne in Sweeden are ignoring me so have this in mind if you are ordering from them. It's been over a week since I first emailed them and have again twice since then. Any way I found another site: http://shop.airways-airsports.com/param ... mit=30&p=3 These guys sell the starter for £112 with free postage. Some companies in the UK will try and sell you this unit for £250 - unbelievable !
  11. Hi guys I'm new to flying and have bought an old trekking parawing in good nic and had the loft check it. Its a medium with a maximum weight of 95kg all up. This is really light, with my machine I will be about 10kg over at 105kg. I know they are tested to 7ish G so will not be damaged, but how about the flying characteristics? I think this might of been covered on here before but the answers were vague to say the least. ANy help will be welcome. Craig
