  1. Hi Steve, sorry about not replying, I have had 4 recent pm's and as I don't frequent this site that much anymore, I haven't seen them. I thought I would of had a notification email, for the pm's, but didnt. Anyway sorry for the delay, to you Steve and the other guys. I will pm you all, when I get home from work late tonight. cheers
  2. That's odd, I called them yesterday and they told me it was the walbro carbs that they had sourced from the States, still hadn't turned up! No mention of a CNC crankcase machining problem!
  3. Jock, is the 23rd of May an update from Parajet, or was that the original estimate before they informed us about the Carb issue? Brother and I were expecting ours mid May, but haven't heard anything from Parajet!
  4. Hi Ed, brother and I are learning to fly with Simon, live near Didcot. We missed out on the Membury airfield membership, so would be great to meet up with some local flyers in Oxfordshire area. Cheers Paul
  5. I have been told around 6 weeks (possibly before, fingers crossed. ). I have this week off and was hoping to progress through the course, but the weather isn't playing ball.
  6. Hi Jock, having just ordered the new Volution 2 Macro and visited Parajet yesterday, I can tell you they are very busy, but also, I hope Jim doesn't mind me saying this, they are just about to move into their new factory down the road. So all I can suggest is, if you get an answer machine, leave your details and hopefully they will get back to you asap. As for the price, yes its £3995 for the Macro Volution 2, although if you want it done in a different colour, its an extra £250 I think. Excited in anticipation of getting mine in the near future.
  7. Welcome Dave, I'm in the same position as you, training with Simon. Brother and I should be getting our first flight soon, weather permitting. Wished I could of had this week off, it's been lovely. Not looking so good next week, strong winds. All the best with your training, probably bump into you up at Membury.
  8. Hi Simon, sorry to hear about Mia, thought she might of been ok once you got home, but I guess the black lab did more than we thought. Hope she gets well soon. I'm sure Darren will let you have another go once you have a clearer mind set, but I bet he's well chuffed with it. Look forward to seeing the video though. All the best Paul.
  9. Well done Dan, great to have video coverage of the memorable day, well done Simon. As for kit Dan, I guess your going to be pretty busy over the coming months, doing all those DIY jobs etc around the home. When you've earnt enough brownie points, you can drop the bombshell. I thought the Synthesis was yours, I guessed wrong then. If all goes well with our course, Andy and I will probably be looking at the same kit as you, maybe we can get a good deal on a bulk order.
  10. Well done Darren, so Simon if that was Dan landing, where's his take off? Please, please let the weather be good.
  11. Congratulations Darren and Dan, look forward to speaking with and finding out your experiences and to see the video. Cheers for that Simon, look forward to our next session. Cheers Paul
  12. Thanks for the support lads, Andy is doing quite well, but I think I have a long road ahead of me. But I'm looking forward to getting the skills and confidence that you both showed today. Hope you get a sunny, steady light wind morning, weather forecast look promising for the morning, although it look like its going to be pretty cold though.
  13. Brother and I just signed upto training with Simon today, nice to meet you Simon. Look forward to going forward with the training and hoping for some kind weather in the coming weeks/months ahead. Also nice to meet Dan and Darren, all the best for your first flights tomorrow, hope the weather is good for you both.
