  1. Hello All, I bought my motor several years ago and have still not used it. I have made a pact with myself that this year will be the year I get going with it. I have passed my hill CP in the Peak District, and have not flown for around a year. My motor is a PAP1100AS with a Top 80, coupled with a Uturn Infinity 2 wing. I would appreciate any comments, advice and information on this kit please. I live in the North of Scotland, but am able to travel to Manchester with ease. I have made contact with Paul Kilburn about training in the coming couple of months. Regarding the PAP, where do I get spares these days? I nparticular props. The prop is a 100cm, quite unusual I believe. Are Skydragons still the men to see about spares? So many questions, but I am well out of date. Any info is much appreciated! Cheers, Paul.
  2. Hello, Recently joined member needing a little help and advice regarding my unit. I have a TOP 80 / PAP 1100 AS and am getting close to flying it for the first time. Last night I went to a deserted beach to practice running with motor and wing attached, there was no wind and I didnt expect to fly. A couple of successful 'runs' were had before I heard a slight tap behind me. The engine was still running and there was no vibration so I ran again. Crack again! I then stopped and removed it from my back to see a slight nick in the prop on both tips. Further investigations reveal that the clearance of the prop tip to the cage on one side was around 3.5 inches, on the other barely 2. Therefore there is some sidethrust either built in, or unintentionally in to my unit. The side with the smaller gap then seems to touch the prop when load is taken up by the wing on the carabiners. Is this difference in clearance normal? Can I adjust it by adjusting the four engine mount bolts and rubbers to get equal clearance? The cage doesnt appear to be distorted at all and the top cage fits to the bottom with ease. Any help or advice gratefully received! Thanks, Paul.
  3. Hello All, Quick intro and hello from me. I have been flying in one way or another since my mid teens. Now I am excited to be starting out in Paramotoring. I live near Inverness in Scotland, but am a Southerner originally. I have got a PAP 1150 AS and two wings (An old but very crisp Trekking Parawing, and a newish, slightly used U-turn Infinity 2) I spent a week training on the hills with Peak Airpsports recently, completing EP and most of CP. With the good weather on its way ( I hope ) and I am trying to get myself ready to enjoy it. Any suggestions about how to complete the training to proficient PPG would be gratefully received. Any comments about the wings and motor I have would also be useful, Thanks, Paul. Ps: Just been reading all the reports on the accident section, sobering stuff.
