  2. Hi All, Advice needed, I find myself more and more flying over water so am now thinking that a floatation device is probably a good idea. So the question is which is the best option, I fly a Pap Pa125. Is there anyone out there with any experience of which might fit my motor best? Thanks in advance Henry
  3. Sounds like a great day out, count me in as well......
  4. I am in York for a weeks holiday. Is there anyone about that area, weather looks good Sunday so thought I put kit in the car if up for it? Henry(07880723022)
  5. Thanks for the replies, Outcast, how does the alternative entry system work? Where do you go for it? Ptwizz, I understand the Beeston site only does hand gilders, although I have not spoken to them directly. Where in Norfolk are you based? You are welcome to come fly from mine anytime. Thanks again for the info. Regards Henry
  6. Anyone out there done the club pilot level and pilot level exam/assessment? If so how difficult was it, how much did it cost and where would you advise me to go? I am in north Norfolk have been flying for a few years now so have a bit of experience. Thanks in advance Henry
  7. Hi dmwood, I would be interested in your reserve, I understand you would rather sell as a whole but let me know if it doesn't. Henry
  8. Thanks for the info Notch, motor now up and running sweet as a nut!!!! Regards Henry
  9. Can anyone help, I need the timing wheel position, I took it to pieces not realising there was no key way in the crankshaft instead it is on a tapered shaft so it can go back in any position. The timing wheel has 2 magnets roughly 1 inch apart. Anyone had this before? Thanks in advance Henry
  10. Hi Carl, Thanks for the offer, looking at the weather forecast it doesn't look likely. I will still put kit in and keep in contact. Cheers Henry
  11. Anyone near to Bakewell area around for a flight Friday(10th) onwards as I am on holiday for a week and was going to put my kit in the car if anyone interested. Cheers Henry 07880723022

  15. Anybody, Pros/cons, and particulary what software/hardware? Are macs the best answer to run with a go-pro? Thanks in advance
  16. Thanks for the replies guys, Clive why did your carb pop off pressure change at such low hours and I am surprised you had to put a new kit in also. You say you had a pa125, so what do you have now and did the pap give you trouble hence a change? Neilzy thankyou for your offer I am in Norfolk so not 5 minutes up the road but very doable so I will investigate decoking the cylinder and finding a kit. Offers like that are what makes the paramotor community so great. Steve, I prime the motor exactly the same as I always have, I pump the bulb until you see fuel in the top little filter and then stop as soon as you can hear the fuel squirt or change of sound and it normally fires first or second pull. Something has changed but I do take your point , particulary as the issue is temperamental. However I never prime the motor if it's warm or just been running. Many thanks again any ideas greatfully received! Henry
  17. Hi all, I have a problem with my Pap in so much that it is a sod to start. It has been getting worse over the last 5 hours or so. I always start the motor on my back and it seems more often than not when I kick to start I nearly rip the thing off my back, as though it has way to much compression. But occasionally it will start just as it should, anf if i land out and try to start 20-30mins later it almost definately will not start. So I have checked the torque of cylinder head nuts, removed and cleaned filter/screen within the carb, and also put a new spark plug in. I am thinking is it a blocked decompression hole in the cylinder? I dont even know if the Pa 125 has such a thing. So the question has anybody had a simliar problem and advice would be appreciated. I dont have that much experience with 2 strokes or well engines in general! But I get buy, the motor has 48 hrs use and it was until roughly 5 hours of use ago an excellent starter. Thanks in advance Henry
  18. Slim, Thanks for your reply I have now found that with a new spark plug the noise has completly gone, I was amazed as the old one was only 29hrs old. Many thanks for that as I was going to sell the radio and try get another!
  19. Hi people, I have an Icom A6 radio which does not work very well with my motor, I get very bad interverence to the point I have to turn the radio off, at tick over on the ground it is not so bad but as soon as I apply revs it gets proportionally worse. I have tried the radio on somebody elses motor and it works fine with my headset. I can use the headset and another radio on my motor and it works fine, I have a resistor plug, have tried a different aerial and different headset and even tried a brand new A6 radio with the same results. I have come to the conclusion that my combination of motor, headset and radio are just wrong. The motor is a Pap Pa125 and the headset is Loescher, I am at a loss as to what to do, does anyone out there have any ideas or have/had the same problem? Thanks in advance Henry
  20. Hi Morgy, I live close to the North Norfolk coast near to kings lynn, I am about on the Sunday and if the weather is playing ball you are more than welcome to come fly with me. Cheers Henry
  21. Pb, Good post, I have been flying for a good few months now and really getting into the swing of it now and loving every moment of it, and am particularly looking forward to the clear cool crispy winter days to get some decent cross country flights in. I am based in Norfolk between Kings Lynn and Fakenham so if you get some kit sorted we could go for a flight sometime. Cheers Henry
  22. Thanks all for the helpful comments, helimed who I presume to be the infamous Whitters thankyou in particular. I fly a Pap PA125 with an ITV Dakota sport which I am burning 4ltrs give or take a bit an hour, so should therefore get about 3 hours endurance although I haven't tried that one yet. Flying North and South coast sounds awesome, I would defo be up for that. I now have your no. so I shall give you a call at some point. Many Thanks Henry
  23. Hi all, Has or does anyone fly near to Perranporth, I am going on holiday there in early November and thought I would pack my Kit and maybe get a flight if the weather plays ball. Is there any reason why I can't take off from the beach so long as I adhear to the 500ft rule of course? Thanks in advance
  24. Thanks Simon and Pete, and of course everyone else that was involved in making the flyin successful. Shame the weather didn't play ball today, however I had a good flight Saturday and it was good to put a few faces to the names. Cheers Henry
  25. Dan, I am a new to this sport and had the same thing recently, (nerves on my first proper solo flight with no one to help and give the thumbs up etc). All I would say is pick a nice calm day do some practice launches with the motor and then when happy do your pre checks (which you have written down on paper before hand) then be positive but calm and just go for it. You'll love, I did, haven't looked back since Henry
